"That is my favorite Boss! I really love fries especially with lots of ketchup. And oh! Can you get me a burger again boss? That's my favorites because." I said bubbly knowing that he was still smiling.

I stopped when I saw his blank face staring at me again. Smirking, I looked at Cypher like asking him what the matter with his father but he just shrugged it off.

I looked back at Boss and it was the way he stared at me when I left the mansion earlier, his eyes full of sadness, misery, and that over flowing longingness. But that was immediately replaced by a strange anger, grief, and blameworthy for the things I have done... Which is as far as I remember is not there yet.

"Dad." Cypher called his father's attention seriously.

It was only then that Boss realized that he was still sitting up, then he nodded and stood up.

"Is that all?" he asked seriously looking at me.

I don't know if that question is really for me or for Cypher. But I just nodded slightly since he didn't take his eyes off me.

"Okay. Eat there while I'll get your food. Anyway, this is the last order Elevic. We already cost so much time in eating and there were still other things to do in the line." he reminded his son to which Cypher immediately nodded.

And that became his signal to leave.

I immediately looked at Cypher who was just eating a forkful of spaghetti in his mouth so I immediately took a tissue to wipe his mouth.

"Your dad is weird. What the hell is wrong with him?" I asked Cypher after I wiped and took the spoon to eat the steak.

"I don't know too mom. Although it is only on you my daddy acts like that." He was always sipping so I just had to suck on my drink through a straw.

"Maybe dad has something for you. Like he likes you—"

"Ackkk!"

"—oh! You okay mom?" Cypher immediately approached me worriedly and reached for the water next to him.

I immediately reached for it and took one of the tissues and rubbed it on the side of my lips while drinking water.

I feel bad that I hit my son because of the things that come out of his mouth.

"Damn baby, where did you learn those words? I didn't teach you that! Not even your grade one teacher!" I snorted at him in surprise.

I immediately turned to Cypher's back where Boss could enter when he finished ordering.

"Mom, did you forget that your son is a gifted child? I love reading books and right now, novels are my past time. And whats wrong with that? Thats only a conclusion based on what I had observed—" I cut him off from his explanation. No doubt that he got that genius trait from his genius father.

"Yeah, yeah, whatever son. Anyway, don't you ever say that in front of your father or we'll both be dead." I whispered to him.

I turned to look behind him again to see if his dad was near and when I saw that he was not there, I came a little closer to him.

"And don't conclude that further! That is very impossible okay?" I added while sitting down properly again.

"Why? That's not possible mom. It is not possible for dad to like you because you are beautiful and amazingly type of a woman just like how Tito Blythe said to you on the phone. And I like you as my mother!" he insisted, that's why I just smiled at the sweetness of this boy.

"Well I like you too as my son. But your dad doesn't like me. And anyway, don't you want to meet your mom? You said she's still alive but you never see her even just from a picture."seriously I asked him.

He stopped for a moment and began to think. I just looked at him while sipping my soft drink.

"I don't care about her now. Just by having you is enough for me mom. But that doesn't mean that I hate my mother. It's just that I don't want to think about her while she was gone. I will still accept her if ever she came back." he answered me with a smile. But I can see that it didn't reach his eyes.

I nodded at him.

Im a bit happy and at the same time sad for him.
