Chapter - 5 : Entering The Red Sea Pack

(Faedra's Pov).

I groaned as I opened my eyes, trying to adjust to the brightness of the environment. The light was so sharp and blinding that I had to squint and blink a few times before finally adjusting.

I was lying on my back, face up, I stared blankly at the ceiling. It wasn't familiar, the environment itself was strange. 'Where am I?'

I looked around the room, it looked like the hospital ward we had back at the pack house. Only that it was different, bigger, and more luxurious, even the bed felt comfortable.

I tried to figure out how I got into another messy situation when the door suddenly opened.

A middle-aged man with a hint of white hair in his beard walked in wearing a doctor's uniform, he was followed by a taller younger man with a domineering aura.

I sat up immediately at the sight of the two unfamiliar faces and let out a little moan after feeling a sharp pain in my back as a result of sitting up too quickly.

The room suddenly felt heavy and stuffy, the younger man behind the doctor had an alpha aura. His brown hair was messy, looking like he had just gotten out of bed, his brown eyes were calm, looking sharp and calm at the same time, the man was undeniably attractive and might be an alpha at that. I gulped quietly as I stared at them.

The older man cleared his throat and his voice sounded in the quiet room. “Her condition is better now, it is nothing too serious. She is a bit malnourished and will need plenty of rest, but she will be fine,” he reported to the man who stood beside him.

The younger one gave no reply but kept on staring at me, his eyes made me a bit uncomfortable. He kept looking at me like he could see through me. He gave a small wave at the doctor and the man bowed and said “Alpha Zed” before leaving.

My eyes widened at his words. He was an alpha, but of which pack? He didn't look familiar, and his name…

How did I end up here, with him?

I bit my lip and kept my eyes on my fingers, which were nervously playing on my covered thighs.

“Who are you?” His deep voice made me look up at him.

“I… I am…Faedra,” I said softly.

“Start talking.”

“Start talking?” I repeated his words, confused. He tilted his head, his eyes never leaving me, the way he stared at me made me feel naked, I felt uncomfortable under his watch; I shifted awkwardly.

“Who are you?”

He ignored what I said before.

“I am Fae-”

“I did not ask for your name,” he interrupted rudely. I bit my lip again, he sounded upset; after all, this was the alpha of a clan I didn't want to offend anybody.

“Where are you from? From which pack and how did you end up on my territory?” He threw the questions at me and I frowned.

“Your territo-” I froze as memories rushed into my head like a raging river.

The twins, Castor, Shade, My rejected mate, Leah's ring, my father, Maximum…

I gasped as my hands protectively flew over my stomach, my…my baby.

I'm pregnant. The thought hit me like a slap on my face.

I let out a small groan as I had a little headache.

I remembered I was chased through the forest, but I escaped!

I was alive.

My heart leaped in joy and fear. I escaped, but now I was in another alpha's territory, now a rogue, I trespassed. I gulped again, I remembered what my father, no, Alpha Liddell used to do to trespassers, how he used to punish them.

I clenched my fists, I might've just escaped a bad place to a bad place, but what was worse than staying with an alpha who kidnapped and tortured you your whole life under the pretense of being your father?

I was hated by my mates, my teachers, my colleagues, and my so-called family. Anywhere was better than there to me.

“Do you not remember anything?” The alpha's voice snapped me out of my thoughts. I blinked rapidly and raised my head to answer him.

“I, I am Faedra, I am sorry for trespassing, Alpha Zed.” First things first, I had to apologize to the alpha, maybe he would spare me and not punish me, or worse kill me. I knew how heartless Alpha werewolves were. I was raised as a daughter of one and have seen how brutal and harsh they were to rogues.

This Alpha seemed different, at least he rescued me and had the patience and heart to check up on me and ask me questions, unlike my so-called father, Alpha Liddell.

“You are forgiven. Since you won't answer any of my questions, tell me what pack you are from so you can be sent back as soon as the doctor says you are good to go.” His eyes darkened, and mine widened at his words in horror. “You have an alpha's scent." His nose worked better than most werewolves.

But why did I have an alpha's scent on me?

Perhaps it was because of the fact that I mated with not one but two alphas, was the daughter of an alpha, and was now pregnant with an alpha's child.

The thought broke me and my eyes watered, My life was so messed up, I must have done wrong to be punished so harshly by the moon goddess.

No, I couldn't be sent back to the Starlight pack, I'd be tortured to death.

Thinking of the things Alpha Liddell would do to me if Alpha Zed sent me back made me shiver.

“No!” I almost screamed and for the first time saw the alpha frown.

“No? I am the Alpha here, this is my pack and territory, I don't think you're in the position to tell me what and what not to do.” His words were strict and made me want to submit, of course, he was an alpha, it was expected. He was a dominating male and I, a weak female.

“Alpha Zed, please,” I said softly, but the frown didn't leave his handsome face. “I…I am an orphan, my parents are gone I do not know them.”

It wasn't entirely a lie as alpha Liddell had lied to me my entire life. Even though I said those words, somewhere in my heart I wished my real parents were still alive somewhere, I needed an explanation.

“My former pack, I'm not wanted there, please don't take me back there. I'll do anything, I…I can work for you, I am educated, please. I.. I am now a rogue, I would be punished, or worse killed if I am returned,” I pleaded with teary eyes.

The alpha let out a sigh. “When the doctor says you've fully recovered, someone will be sent to take you to my alpha manor, you will work as a maid there and will be allowed to stay in my back.” And with that, he left, shutting the door behind him.
