Chapter 2

When school was s let out after the last period Blue stayed inside the classroom till the hallways were clear, he didn't want to be there where students were all rushing around like a stampede of wild animals to be happy that school is over,

he waited until it entirely died down before he made his way to his locker, put his books away, grabbed his bag then proceeded to walk to the supermarket which was a good walk away from the school.

While he was walking there he saw a man in his mid-fifties wandering the streets; the man had on dirty clothes. He looked to be also hungry and tired, Judging by his appearance the man could use a little rest from all the wondering he was doing.

Blue walked to a cafe across the streets, he ordered a large hot chocolate with muffins, then walked to the flower shop next door to buy a single flower that represents strength,

When he came back out, he crossed the streets to where the older man was sitting, on an old bench just outside of the supermarket where he needs to buy ingredients for tonight’s dinner.

Blue sat down next to the older man and handed him the warm drink along with the muffin that was in a brown paper bag and the flower, then in a shy voice said.

"Don't lose hope, I don't know what is going on in your life, but you will get through it. Life itself is a challenge, but everyone has to overcome it to fully cherish the hard work that will be a reward in the future."

Blue gave a smile that revealed his dimples, and the innocence is hidden on his face, then patted the older man on the back a few times before entering the supermarket.

The older man had not come out of his shocked state about what had happened. He had come to town to invest in some properties hoping to knock them down and make a big shopping centre in the middle of this quiet little town. He was leaving but was stopped by a bunch of school kids that wanted to be tough.

They had robbed and took his wallet and car keys, and left him there battered and bruised although it didn't do much damage as he had on a thick coat that was now covered in dirt and mud it must be why that person mistook him for a homeless person.

He must've been their target from the moment they saw him drive into town. The older man already phoned his driver and informed the man of the incident. People old and young had walked past him, but no one offered to help; they all just left him there to suffer in his misery.

The older man already knew that the society that we currently live in people are ashamed to help the homeless or people that are in need afraid that it will tarnish their reputation.

He had given up on humanity entirely until an angel came and offered him help not only that but was thoughtful enough to by him food,

something he could get with just a click of his fingers but would cost more for this person, yet he chose to give it to him out of kindness, he had also left him a single flower that represents strength, the angel must have known that he need power right at this moment too.

Maybe there are still good people left in this world, but one thing was for sure, the older man needed to pay the Angel back, and he has the perfect gift to give.

His very own devil of a son.
