CHAPTER 4: I Wouldn't Sign The Contract 2

ROSE POV

“I’m thinking about what we did because it should not have happened.

And no, we are not going to do it again.

So get out of my house and take your stupid contract with you.”

He looked a little angry.

The look on his face was scary.

“Are you sure you don’t want to see me anymore?”

Again he came close.

He put his hands on my waist and pulled me to him.

He did not look away from my eyes.

“Go away,” I whispered.

He kissed my neck and lifted me.

I wrapped my legs around his waist and let him kiss me slowly.

“Tell me you want me to leave, and I’ll walk out that door and never come back.

Just say it.” He touched my ass and pressed it against his hard cock.

I let out a small moan near his ear.

That made him kiss me again, hard and fast.

The door opened.

My cousin Fay walked in.

She looked surprised to see us like that.

I quickly pulled away from Damien.

We both let go.

“I… I can leave if you want,” Fay said.

She stared at Damien. I could not even speak.

I was so embarrassed.

“Don’t worry, miss, I’m just leaving,” he said.

He came close to me.

“Jameson will take you to my apartment by eight o’clock tonight.

I need to do something important with you,” he said.

He kissed my forehead and left.

Fay laughed softly.

“Now I understand why Joseph looked like that. Did he see you with this guy too?” she asked.

She walked to the microwave to heat the food.

I sat at the table.

“I didn’t tell him about Damien; I just broke up with him…”

“You did the right thing. I always told you that you and Joseph… didn’t have that spark.

You weren’t a good match. Anyway, tell me about that guy.

How did you meet him?” she asked as she put food on the plates.

“He’s my father’s business partner. I met him at one of his meetings.

He wants to see me tonight.” I took a bite of meat.

I still felt nervous.

“In that case, I won’t miss those parties again. I want a handsome guy too.” She laughed.

“By the way, since when do you accept security from your father? There’s a security man outside.”

“It’s a little gift from Damien.” I made an angry face.

Fay looked at me.

“Wow, how long have you known him? Are you two together? Have you had sex with him?” Fay asked.

She always loved the details, especially the dirty ones.

I laughed and stood up from the table.

I did not want to answer all those questions.

“Maybe we’ll talk about it later. I have some important things to do. Enjoy your lunch,” I said and went to my room.

I took a quick shower and saw the small marks Damien left on my neck.

DAMIEN POV

I finished work at the office and went home. It was seven o’clock.

I would see Rose in one hour.

I had to make her sign the contract.

She arrived on time, but she looked nervous.

“What’s so important?” she asked.

She took a big sip from her glass.

I laughed and gave her a folder.

“I can’t wait any longer. I want you to be mine now. Here’s the contract I told you about; we can look at it together before you sign it.”

I gave her a pen.

She looked at the folder.

Her hands were shaking.

“I’ll check it.” She stood up from the table, took her bag, and was about to leave.

“When will you give me an answer?”

“I don’t know,” she said.

It was killing me; I wanted her for myself right now.

ROSE POV

I wanted to leave.

I felt trapped.

“Why don’t you check it now? Stay here. I’ll leave you alone for a few minutes while I take a shower. We’ll have dinner after.”

I nodded.

He smiled, kissed me on the lips, and went upstairs.

I opened the folder. It was a formal document.

It said I had to obey Damien, be free whenever he needed me, not go out with anyone else, and other rules.

He wanted to control my whole life.

I would not be myself anymore; I would only be his.

That scared me.

I left the contract on the table and took my things.

When I left his apartment, Jameson drove me home.

I heard some noise.

It was Fay with her boyfriend, Riot.

I laughed; at least someone was having a good time on Friday night.

I thought about the party some college guys invited me to.

It was still early, so I decided to go.

Jameson drove me.

“Rose, it’s good to have you here. Anyone would be sad after a breakup,” said Shawn, a friend.

“I didn’t want to stay home, so why don’t you buy me a drink?” I smiled.

He ordered a drink from the waiter.

There were five of us: Shawn, Leilani, Kate, Daniel, and me.

“Come on, let’s dance,” Daniel said, taking my hand.

“I prefer to stay here.”

“Come on, it’s your favorite song. Let’s dance,” he said again.

I laughed and stood up with him.

We started dancing.

Minutes later, Kate, Leilani, and Shawn joined us.

Soon all five of us were drunk.

DAMIEN POV

When I came downstairs, she was already gone.

I felt angry; she did not even say goodbye.

I had missed calls from Jameson, so I called him back.

“She asked me to take her home, then she decided to go to a club with some guys.”

“Men?” I clenched my fists.

“How many?”

“Two.”

“Send me the location; I’m on my way.” I hung up and got dressed.

I left fast and went straight to that bar.

I quickly found Rose.

She and her friends were dancing.

I went to her and took her arm, but one of her friends pushed me.

“What the hell is wrong with you, buddy? Leave her alone. She’s not alone,” the guy said.

He was clearly drunk.

“Rose, come with me,” I said, looking into her eyes.

She had drunk too much too, but she agreed to come.

She took her things and walked with me to my car.

Soon she tried to fall asleep and leaned on my chest.

I stroked her hair.

“I don’t want you to do this again,” I said.

“Stop ordering me around; I don’t belong to you.”

“Rose, you’re mine now.” I touched her lips.

She smiled and kissed me.

Her hands went to my chest, trying to open my shirt.

I stopped her.

“Rose, we’re in the car.” I laughed.

“Damien, I’m not going to sign that contract. I’m not an object. I’m not for sale,” she said, looking at me.

“You’re drunk; you probably don’t know what you’re saying,” I said seriously.

“I won’t sign that contract,” she said again.

She leaned back on my chest and fell asleep.

“We’ll talk about signing it tomorrow… I’m sure she’ll agree.”
