CHAPTER 3: She Broke Up With Her Boyfriend 1

ROSE POV

My phone rang and stopped us.

I quickly let go of Damien.

“Fuck!”

“When we fuck again, turn that damn phone off,” Damien said, angry.

He was about to cum.

“It’s… it’s Jo… Joseph, my boyfriend,” I moaned.

“Boyfriend?” He laughed.

“We go to the same school.”

“How old are you?” he asked, confused. He started putting on his clothes.

I put my panties back on.

“I’m 20 years old,” I said.

I watched his face.

“You have the sex experience of a woman of twenty-five or more,” he said, laughing.

“Good for you.”

I tried to open the bathroom door, but he stopped me.

“You have to break up with that silly boy today. You won’t see each other again from tomorrow,” he said.

“What’s wrong with you? Let me go.”

“And unblock me on your phone; I’ll call you tomorrow.”

“Don’t tell me what to do!”

“Before noon, you and that little boy will no longer be a couple.”

I opened the door and left, angry.

I still didn’t understand why he was giving me orders.

Suddenly a man followed me to the exit.

“Who are you?”

“My name is Jameson. I’m your new security. My boss ordered me to follow you,” he said.

“Your boss?”

“Yes, Damien Radar.”

Damien is too controlling.

I don’t want to think what it will be like if I sign that contract.

I keep asking myself why I still think about it, but I like that man a little.

Something about him… something about him feels like magic.

I went to school the next day.

I met Joseph at the school gate.

He kissed my lips.

I could barely look him in the eyes after what I did with Damien.

I pulled away.

“We’re late.” I walked toward our classroom.

He looked confused; I never acted like this with him before.

We used to be best friends, almost always together.

He pushed hard for this relationship.

“Are you okay? You seem strange,” he said as he sat next to me.

“My head hurts,” I said.

I pretended to take notes.

“I’ll get an aspirin from the nurse.” He kissed my hair.

I felt terrible.

I took my phone from my bag and checked the internet.

I saw photos journalists put online from Damien’s birthday party.

There was one of him and me, smiling.

I sighed.

DAMIEN POV

I arrived at my office.

I had a lot of work.

My secretary came with an envelope full of my birthday photos.

“Thank you, Nina. Please tell Dawn to come to my office right away.”

Nina nodded.

Dawn came in a few minutes later.

“Good morning, sir,” he said.

“Prepare a contract. It has to be ready to sign tonight,” I said, looking at one photo of Rose.

“She’s beautiful.”

“Rose Ashford, I want information about her. The most important details.”

Dawn nodded.

“It will be ready in a few hours, sir.”

“You can leave now… and Dawn, this is private.”

“You can trust me, sir,” he said and left my office.

I continued my day: meetings, papers to sign.

It was a long, hard day.

ROSE POV

“Are you listening to me?” Joseph said.

I was lost for a few seconds.

“Yes,” I said, taking a sip of my strawberry milkshake.

We were in the school cafeteria.

Joseph was worried about how quiet I was.

“Just tell me what’s wrong, Rose. This isn’t you,” he said, touching my cheek.

“Joseph… we need a break. No… I can’t stay with you as a couple.”

I looked at him.

His face became serious.

“Did I do something wrong?” he asked.

“You did nothing wrong, Joseph. It’s just… we can’t work.”

“But we were fine before, Rose…”

I stopped him.

“I’m sorry, I don’t think I’m ready for this relationship.”

“Okay, I’ll wait as long as it takes. I’ll wait for you,” he said, taking my hands.

“Don’t do it, Joseph. Don’t.” I let go of his hands.

I grabbed my bag and left school.

I would not go to class again.

When I got into my car, I saw Jameson, the man Damien sent as my security.

He was following me.

I tried to lose him, but it did not work.

He arrived home at the same time as me.

I got out of the car, angry, and went to him.

“I was clear this morning; I don’t want you here,” I said, crossing my arms.

“Miss, you have to tell that to my boss. I’m just doing my job.”

I went inside and called Damien.

He answered right away.

“If you’re calling me, it means you did what I asked… did you break up with that little boy?”

“I’m calling because I don’t want Jameson following me. I don’t know what you’re doing, but I don’t like it.

You have thirty minutes to make him leave,” I said, angry.

“I’ll be there in ten minutes; I’m on my way,” he said and hung up.

Exactly ten minutes later, the doorbell rang.

Fay was still not home from school.

I breathed out and opened the door.

He walked in like it was his own house and sat on my sofa.

“If you’re going to be my woman, you need to be safe. Jameson will take care of you and take you wherever you want.”

“Two things. First, I am not and will never be your woman.

Second, I never accepted security from my father. Why would I accept it from you?” I crossed my arms.

“If you’re not going to be mine, then why did you leave that idiot Joseph?” He turned to me, put his arms on the wall, and trapped me.

We were very close.

“Because I cheated on him with you, I couldn’t stop thinking about it. It’s not fair to someone like him,” I said.

I felt his breath so close to mine.

“So you’re thinking about me?” He brushed his lips against mine.

My breathing changed.

“I think about what we did,” I said.

“That’s even better because we can do it again as many times as you want.”

He bit my lip.

I stepped back
