Crystal’s POV

After staying up all night I had finally decided it was best I left with my head still held high despite the humiliation I had faced on the day that was supposed to be my wedding.

By first light, I had already stacked my suitcases, I carefully walked towards my door, ready to escape the confinement of the palace as I couldn't bring myself to face anyone.

The moment I opened the door, I stared deep into the brown eyes of the last person I wanted to see at the moment, Rayna.

She was sweetly wrapped up in the hands of my husband.. the Alpha, Sebastian.

Her voice sounded low, yet it was laced with every amount of mockery. "Sister Crystal?"

Sister? Sister Crystal?? Since when did she start calling me sister?

I was about to respond to her when I noticed what she had on, the white shirt he had on yesterday for… for our wedding.

I quickly turned my gaze to face him in confusion and the moment his eyes landed on me his eyes became pleading.

“Crystal?” His voice cracked as his gaze flickered to me then to my suitcase, then to me, then back to my suitcase.

I sensed his panic and trouble as the realization of what I was planning to do hit him... And it hit him hard as his grip on Rayna's waist loosened while his eyes went wide in shock.

"Crystal, can we talk?" He calmly asked, earning himself suspicious stares from Rayna and me, although she said nothing as she shifted uncomfortably, looking between us.

"Sister Crystal, please I know you must be so mad at me for everything that has happened but please hear him out please" Rayna whispered.

" Honestly, I no longer care for an explanation, and I really have to be on my way, so if you both do not mind..." I tried my best to keep my words at bay and act as strong as I could so it would not seem like I was affected or hurt by their betrayal.

“Please, Crystal, hear me out... Please let me explain everything to you,” he begged.

"Oh please Sebastian". My nails dug deep into my palm forming red-shaped crescents "I'm in the mood to listen to you, and I'm pretty sure my sister 'needs you' better than I need your explanation "

“Sister Crystal, please I beg of you to hear him out it would mean a lot as well to solve everything for you and me” she cried out and as if on cue he left her and dragged me into the room but for some weird reason I swear I saw a small smile form on her face before he closed the door behind him.

He cupped my face, “I am so sorry to have assumed you'd be able to put up with any of this without an explanation. I should have explained sooner.” he began before trying to gently lead me towards the bed, an attempt which I forcefully declined.

He tried holding my hands again, but I brushed him off.

"You asked for my audience; well, here I am. Explain or allow me to go back to my father's house or any other place where I do not have to see your face" I snapped back at him.

“A couple of months ago, as you are aware, I attended a wedding ceremony with some of the elders at Moonlit Ville. In attendance at that event were your sister and her Mother, Rita. And well, during the course of the part, I was offered a drink by Rita..." He slowly explained.

“ She had given me the drink as well as a few refreshments and had directed me to my given room, that was where the whole issue started from."

I knew I wasn't liked by Rita, but if she really had a hand in this, then she hated me far more than I had expected. I didn't even know what I did to deserve Sebastian's love, and it's not as if I had begged for it or stolen him from anyone. No... he had decided on his own free will to show me unconditional love and cherish me yet...

“The last thing I can vividly remember from that party was that I felt weak and tired after drinking that wine that I just wanted to sleep so badly, so I went into my room, and I dozed off, but when I woke up, I was next to Rayna.”

I froze as my brain tried its best to piece his words together to make sense.

“I swear I didn’t plan for any of this,” he insisted, eyes pleading. “I never wanted any of this to happen. Please, you have to believe me; look into my eyes. I'm sure you'd be able to see that I'm not lying to you.”

"As for Rayna I only found out she was pregnant yesterday at the same time you did, although she had been trying to reach out to me these past few days.” he spoke almost immediately while I kept quiet studying his face.

“I do not know what to do anymore, Crystal. I was afraid you'd hate me if you found out about what happened between me and your sister, but I swear I didn't know this would happen. She had told me to call the wedding off and tell you but I was too stubborn to listen."

This was now bigger than the both of us, this was now bigger than even Rayna as we were all victims yet I blamed them.

"How are you going to take care of the situation Seb? Do you plan on marrying both of us?" I calmly asked.

“She will not be a permanent thing here, nor would she even be my wife you do not have to feel threatened,” he quickly swore. “But Crystal, the thing is she’s carrying my child… my heir, and I can’t abandon the child because I do not harbor feelings for its mother; what will people think and say.”

"What do you then suggest?" I innocently asked.

No matter how upset and angry I was at the sudden turn of effects I knew the child was innocent.

“Time... I need a couple of days that's all I ask and seek from you... to set things right. I love you, please don't go, don't leave me… I need your support now more than ever, please, please, my love, tell me you'll wait,” He whispered, pulling me closer into his warmth.

“I will wait ” I whispered, and his hand tightened around me.

“I promise you, I'll make things right for I am yours, my wolf is yours, same as my heart and body” he whispered as his lips brushed against my ears.
