chapter 7

-Vleen Xivey Villamor's point of view-

I slowly opened my eyes when I felt a pillow thrown on my face. Cadillac stood at the edge of the bed. He was still holding another pillow that he would probably use to throw at me.

Taena, why does he wake people up like that?

"It's 8:00 AM! You still have 30 minutes to get ready so wake up." Reminder of this. He also left immediately.

I looked annoyed at the clock on the side table. He was right, I still have 30 minutes.

That's why I don't want to have a husband because my parents are better than me! But I have to get used to it because it will wake me up every day. That's also a good thing because I won't be late anymore. I used to be at the top of the list of reprimands at work.

I immediately sat up when I remembered what happened last night. I was still holding my head because I suddenly felt dizzy. I slowly lay down on the bed again and felt myself.

"Damn it! I didn't score!" I screamed in annoyance when I remembered Cadillac singling me out last night.

Instead of him being my drunk, I was his drunk! I should not have agreed to the rock, paper and scissor game! I'm still going to finish two bottles!

*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!

I almost passed out when Cadillac slammed the bedroom door.

"Are you still sleeping? Wake up!" He shouted from outside.

I messed up my hair.

"My plan last night was useless!" I just answer to myself.

Even though I felt bad, I got up to take a shower. I just hurried the shower because I was dizzy. Until now, the wine is still right for me.

"Shit!" I coughed when my head felt like it was throbbing from the pain.

I quickly left the bathroom. I was naked because I forgot to bring the towel in a rush. I'm comfortable because I've always been like this. No one can see, HAHAHA!

"There's nothing! It's a waste of wine." I roared again while looking for my towel.

"Hey Vleen! The--"

That's right! I didn't lock the door!

Cadillac and I stared at each other when he suddenly entered my room.

It was swallowed one after the other. He was just looking at my face while not knowing what to do.

"Look up!" I shouted at him. He immediately did what he did and suddenly closed his eyes.

"S-sorry..."

"Get out!" I ordered and quickly ran back into the bathroom.

I even saw my appearance in the mirror and I was blushing!

Did he see it? It's crazy!

I closed my eyes and tousled my wet hair.

Taena, she obviously saw it! I slowly looked at the lower part of my body. It's good that there's a cease fire, my baby. If only he was alive earlier, that's a shame! I still cringed when I remembered the look of Cadillac earlier.

"Doesn't that know how to knock? He's not my husband, he just walks into my room!" I speak to myself.

I'm not annoyed! Because somehow I feel ashamed that he saw me in that situation.

But I straightened myself up. Lol why should I be shy, I should be proud of my baby. It's big! HAHAHAHA!

I took a peek inside the room before deciding to go out again. When I saw that it was safe, I quickly changed.

It's 8:43 AM, I'm sure I'm really late. After I came out of the room, Cadillac came up to me. He was sitting on the couch while watching. I went to the kitchen, I saw that there were meals prepared. I just tried not to look back at Cadillac. I just ate until all the prepared food was gone.

After eating I decided to go to work. I slowly walked out of the kitchen. I simply looked at Cadillac. I know he can feel me looking at him. But because he did something wrong this morning, he is trying to ignore me.

I stopped thinking about that.

"Hey!" I called him.

He bit his lip and looked at me.

"W-why?"

"Did you see anything?" I dare to ask.

"What?"

"The one before! When you entered my room you saw me naked!" Gradually the tone of my voice grew stronger.

He swallowed and avoided looking at me. It was obvious that he was nervous. He didn't answer me, he was just silent while trying to focus his attention on the television.

"Answer!" I'm back again.

"Go to work." He is different.

"Why did you change the subject? My question is did you see anything?"

"I must have seen something!"

I was not nervous when he said he saw something. Because I was more nervous when he yelled at me.

"Go away! Do you still want to hear me describe what I saw?" He asked more.

I just stared at him. I can't move where I stand.

"You really want to? All right! I saw that a--"

"Stop!" I quickly ran out of my condo. I was panting and sweating quickly.

I closed my eyes.

Forget what I said I should be proud of my baby! Because even though it's big, it's still embarrassing for him to see it!

Take your Cadillac!

"Good morning Sir Vleen." An employee quietly entered my office. I just smiled at him. He handed over some documents that I need to study. I just took it and put it aside. I'm still too lazy to read, I'm still thinking about what happened with Cadillac!

*RINGGGG!

I focused my attention on my phone when I saw someone calling it. I felt relieved when I saw that it was Dad.

"Hi Dad!"

"I'M SORRY IF I DIDN'T SEE YOU YESTERDAY."

"It's okay Dad."

"YOU HAVE SOMETHING IMPORTANT TO SAY, SAID MY SECRETARY."

"Yes Dad, can we meet later?"

"GO HOME LATE NIGHT. LET'S HAVE DINNER AS WELL."

I smiled.

"Thank you Dad!"

After finishing my work, I quickly went to Dad's house. I still have all the proof that I'm married. It was 7:30 PM when I got home. When one of our maids saw me, she happily approached me.

"Lorna!" I called him with a smile.

He is old, he has taken care of me since childhood. Mom is gone, she is not dead because she is very much alive. He was in another country with his new family. I was 3 years old when he and Dad separated. I don't know why they broke up. Because I don't want to hurt myself. It's better if I don't know anything. Besides, I'm used to not having a mother to support me since childhood.

"Your Dad has a visitor inside. Your ex was right, they're going to eat." He replied.

That's why there is an unfamiliar car in the parking lot. I thought it was just a new purchase by Dad.

Manang Lorna accompanied me until I got inside. After we went to the kitchen I saw Dad. He did have visitors, an old man and woman, there was a woman with her back turned so I couldn't see her face. They seem to be one of the shareholders in Dad's company that will soon be coming to me!

"Vleen, come!" Dad called me.

I nodded to his guests with a smile. The three of them look like family.

I sat next to the girl's daughter when she got married. I simply looked at him and my eyes widened at what I saw.

What the!

He was also surprised when he saw me.

James Sanchez! The one I met at that bar!

He is the son of one of Dad's shareholders!

"By the way Vleen, this is Mr. and Mrs. Sanchez and that beautiful lady beside you is Ms. Jeym Sanchez, together with their one child."

I shook hands with Mr and Mrs. Sanchez is the same with Jeym. As soon as I held Jeym's hand, he smiled very widely.

"Unexpected..." he replied weakly.

"Nice to meet you Ms. Jaym." I congratulated when our hands parted.

We started eating. I couldn't focus on eating because I was constantly thinking about Jeym.

Dad and Jeym's parents are talking. It was about business so I didn't listen.

"Small world indeed." I suddenly promised Jeym.

He laughed.

"Yes, I really didn't expect to see you here." His voice is beautiful! I heard more than when we were at the bar which was so loud that I couldn't pay attention to his voice.

"What exactly is your job?" I asked with a smile while taking a bite.

His smoothness! I couldn't take my eyes off his face.

"I'm a model, but I'm not very well known." This is the answer.

"You're obviously a model."

"Is that so hahaha..."

"Yes, you are very beautiful." I praise

He simply laughed.

"That's not a joke Ms. Jeym." I still promise.

"You are very respectful. Jeym." He insisted.

I nodded.

"How old is Jeym?" Our attention was focused on Dad. Jeym's smile was so wide.

"It's 28." Jeym answered politely

Wow!

"You don't look 28, I thought you were 23." Dad replied.

"Hahaha, I inherited that beauty Vince." Mrs.'s groin Sánchez.

The Sanchez family seems to be very close to Dad. I can't call Dad by his name.

"Of course, I can see the resemblance between the two of you. You were like that when we were young." Dad replied with a smile, looking like he was still remembering their childhood.

Ah! So Dad's friend Mrs. Sanchez since childhood.

"Vince, isn't Vleen married yet?" Mr. asked Sánchez.

I swallowed.

I came here to tell Dad that I am married. But I can't seem to say now.

"Not yet, I don't even know if there are plans to get married." Dad still laughed.

I'm married Dad!

"Even if it's our son." Mrs. groin again. Sánchez.

"Mommy!" Jeym stopped but the mother didn't budge.

"Look Vince, Vleen and Jeym are perfect. Hahahaha." Mrs. insisted Sánchez.

Shit!

Dad looked at me. He has a wide smile that looks like he wants to convey something.

"Are you, Jeym, planning to enter into a relationship again? I found out about what happened to you from your Mom and Dad." Dad suddenly promised.

Jeym bowed.

I also found out that they broke up with her long time boyfriend so she was always at the bar trying to move on. Do his parents know that he is always at the bar?

"I think Jeym is fine." Mrs. answered. Sánchez.

Jeym is being asked but his Mom is the one answering!

I saw that Jeym was worried so I hesitated to speak.

"They can recognize each other." Mr. insisted. Sánchez.

Why do they seem to be pushing Jeym and me?

"Yes son, you can go out with Jeym. Take him for a tour of our Villa in Siargao." Dad's suggestion.

Jeym and I looked at each other. When I saw that he was uncomfortable, I spoke up.

"Dad, I think it's too fast." I promise. The three frowned at what I said. Jeym was just quiet.

"Why?" Dad asked more.

"She's not ready yet and Dad I have something to tell you." I took courage. I just thought that when Dad found out that I was married, it would be money in exchange.

"What?"

I don't want them to hope that Jeym and I can do it.

"I'm married"

They were all surprised that Jeym was the same.

Everyone stopped eating. I was even more surprised at what I said.

"Vleen?" Dad called me confused.

"I'm serious, Dad. I'm married, and he lives in my condo. That's why I came here to tell you about it."

Dad looked at the couple. He was obviously apologizing with just his gaze.

Why would he apologize to the couple?

"I thought your son didn't have a girlfriend or wife?" Kunot when Mr. Sánchez.

What's going on?

"I'll just talk to him." Dad stood up and motioned for me to follow him. Even though I was confused, I followed.

We were both in the living room, he shrugged his shoulders and faced me.

"What's wrong Dad?"

"I sent them here intentionally."

"What for?"

"When I found out they had a daughter, I immediately thought of you. We had a conversation that when she has a husband and a child, I will give all my possessions to you. I saw that you and Jeym can try. Especially since I know his parents. That's why I sent them here even though you are because I want you to get to know each other."

"Dad!"

"But you say he's married? Vleen, did you see how disappointed Jeym's parents were? It's a shame, I even bothered them just for this!" That's when Dad's voice got louder.

I was depressed and could not speak.

"Why are you in such a hurry! You got married right away? What are you thinking? I won't lose all my possessions! Tell me, what are we going to do now?"

I'm still speechless.

Dirty! It's a mess!

Dad held his head in worry. He was embarrassed in front of Jeym's parents but I didn't mean it!

"Dad..."

"What if they take back their shares in the company? They are one of my expectations!"

It's like it's my fault.

"S-sorr--"

"Go there. Take back what you said." He calmly ordered me.

Not allowed!

"Dad, I'm already married so I don't want to lie to them."

"Besides, think about that! Even now, you only think about me."

I thought it was fine! Why is there still a problem?
