Chapter 2: Sold

I hadn't heard the name before. I felt a surge of sensation as I mumbled the name again, only to my hearing.

"Alpha Roman Viktor."

Who could he be?

Another surge of unexplainable sensations ran through my body again. The name caused my wolfish instincts and desires to rise. I was flabbergasted, I couldn't understand what I was feeling.

I was so lost in my thoughts until I perceived a great scent of the man walking towards me. His steps were heavy, he looked very manly too. My eyes had become swollen, and my vision blurry, as a result of my non-stop tears.

My pulse stopped in excitement. Who was this handsome man walking towards me?

I was dazed. His sight alone was heavenly and his aura was dignified too.

But amidst the whole fracas, he didn't seem to look at me the same way I looked at him. His eyes looked very cold, very sinister.

To be honest, I had a feeling that he would give me some sort of reaction that he had recognized me but all to no avail because, he didn't.

Rather, as he walked up to me at the stage, he didn't stare at me again.

Another man walked behind him, probably his bouncer or personal security. He handed the MC a black suitcase which contained the payment.

"You can count them if you want." He said smiling mischievously.

"No, there's absolutely no need for that. Alpha can take her right away." He spoke out of fear and sheer horror.

My mate finally spoke. "I can see how wise you're. You just saved your miserable life." He blurted out emotionlessly.

"I owe you nothing again. I'm picking my newly purchased good. My beta will do the rest." He said, picked up my hands and dragged me down the stage.

I felt tingling emotions inside of me the moment he touched my hand, yet, he felt none. He kept dragging me till we got into his car.

The door was opened by the driver who bowed his head to reference the Alpha while I was pushed inside by him like I was a piece of garbage.

"The castle." That was what he told the driver before he shut the dooe and he didn't even turn around to look at me even for once.

I was confused by my mate's behavior, he treated me like I didn't exist or something like that. Why was he acting like a stranger?

I couldn't control the tears anymore, I moved myself to the other side of the car and began to cry. I couldn't tell why my mate was being cruel to me.

I just didn't want anyone to see me, maybe, this was the price I had to pay for not having a wolf.

Soon, the car engine could be heard, the driver had hit the road, another dawn of reality had hit me really hard, was this my destiny?

The smoke from the exhaust was almost everywhere and for the first time, I heard my mate growl. Before I could even raise my eyes to look at him, he dragged me forcefully and I landed on his laps.

I breathed out in surprise, I didn't expect that. My body was already aroused until he did something unexpected, he tore my clothes with his bare hands and I was unclad before him with only my panties on.

He threw away my clothes from the car window as if the smell disgusted him really bad.

"I've never wanted a mate talk more of having a disgusting one." He blurted out venomously. "Pathetic bitch."

He didn't even care about what his words were doing to me. I was deeply in tears and yet, he cared less.

I felt a hand on my throat trying to choke me. "Now, listen attentively," He paused and looked into my eyes. "Don't think I bought you to bond with me as a mate, I don't even give a damn about that."

I tried to break free from his claws because he was suffocating me.

"I bought you to be my slave, nothing but my slave. Don't even think that you've liberty now because your misery has just begun." He said into me and spat into my face.

"Again, bear it in mind that you're coming into my home as a slave and not a mate."

Needless to be told, my nightmare had just begun, my mate hate me, he stared at me coldly with extreme detestation and hatred.

"Have you heard me?" He pulled my hair while I affirmed positively.

I was going to start crying again, although I tried to control it. He was even moved by the tears and sorrow of his mate.

What a mate!

"Good thing for you." He replied, smirking mischievously. He was obviously enjoying the torture he was putting me through.

He pushed me back to were I was seating earlier. "Wear this before we get there." He said and threw his coat at me to cover my body.

I felt my heart tearing apart, my mate was my last hope and he has also rejected me. Was he to be blamed? after all, my parents also rejected me.

How could he accept the girl whom her parents rejected?

I tried to console myself because I believed that it was my fate and destiny. I looked away from him and also wore the coat to cover me.

The rest of the journey was in silence. I could only stare into the darkness and wish it could just swallow me.

After what seemed like an eternity, the car stopped in front of a magnificent castle. It was big and very spacious too. I discovered that he was a nature lover too.

Alpha Roman dragged me out of the car violently and into the castle. He didn't even care that I had injuries as a result of the torture I had gone through earlier.

The doorway was opened by a male guard as he dragged me in with him. I could see all the maids freeze, they bowed down their heads in an immovable manner till we passed them.

Just then, my eyes caught the attention of the woman walking down the stairway. She looked very beautiful and slim too, like a model.

She walked, picked up a bottle of drink from the table and poured herself some drink.

"You didn't even tell me that you were going to buy another slave." She said.

"It's none of your business Becky, stay off." He replied with so much anger and bitterness.

Who was this lady to him? It was just what I wanted to know.

"I'm sorry Alpha, I didn't mean to offend you." She knelt down in apology but to my shock, Roman ignored her and pulled me by the head to the other side of the room.

"Now, take her to the bathroom and make sure you wash her well to get rid of those horrible wolf scents of other wolves from her body. You heard me right?"

"But sir," The maid tried to speak without permission and Alpha Roman slid a knife into her neck.
