Chapter Three

Abbys POV

"Baby doll, you ready to find your mate" my mother calls from downstairs. The party starts in ten minutes, and I know for a fact that my mate is not here, and of course, I was kept from going to school so I couldn't even check there.

"Yes, mother" I smile patting my gold dress down before walking downstairs.

"All but one male from our school is here; the one male is mated to another pack member" David, my best friend comments as I get to the bottom of the stairs.

"I know they are from the school, but they are not here, are you sure we are not missing another?" I question my hope of finding my mate sooner rather than later fading.

"I am sure" he smiles sadly at me making me nod in understanding.

"Happy birthday" everyone shouts making me smile, my school is here as well as four other all werewolf schools. I sniff the air and am met with no mate. Disappointment rushes over me, making me want to cry, but I have to put on a tough act not to look weak.

'Mate goes to school, I seen them' my wolf smirks in my head.

'Obviously not since they are not here' I state making my wolf growl.

'You will see tomorrow' she huffs at me, she was the one who told me where my mate went to school. Wolves always know who their mate is from the moment they are born; they are just not allowed to tell us who they are; we have to find them ourselves. My wolf, however, wants our mate to feel special so wanted us to be close to them first.

I enjoy the party like always before saying goodbye and heading to bed, the whole night my wolf has been telling me to find them, but I can't just leave a party thrown in my honour.

"Night mum" I yawn before heading up to the bedroom and to sleep.

I wake up and rush to get ready, I need my mate, and for that I need school.

"In a hurry, I see," father smiles making me nod.

"My mate wasn't at the party, but my wolf is telling me that they are at school right now" I state wanting this conversation to be over.

"Then go already" he smiles waving his hand to me. Dad had always wanted me to find my mate when I wanted to. Most Alphas wish to their kids to find them as soon as possible, but dad has always allowed it to be up to me when I found them, but I want my mate now.

Once at school, I look around hurriedly, and my mates' scent hits me like a ton of bricks. I follow the scent to the lockers and see a girl I have never seen before, one sniff in her direction, and I know she is my mate no wonder I couldn't find her.

"who is that" I question the girl closest to me.

"That there is the gamer girl freak, she was such a nice person, used to be my friend, but when she came out as lesbian we all left, it's against the church. She since became the outcast and a gamer" the girl snarls before rushing away as if even looking in her direction hurts.

Now I understand why my wolf told me where she was; she needs my love more than anything.
