[CHAPTER 4]

ALEXANDER

EX WIFE.

"How many weeks have you been without your wife?" Wayne asked me seriously.

"1 month." I answered sparingly.

"No plans yet to express feelings?" Jush asked.

"It's her decision to let go of me, why would I chase her?" frowned when I asked before drinking wine.

"What if, she already misses you? Are you willing to chase her again?" Asher asked with a smile.

I stopped before turning to another habit. Hanabi? Will you miss me? I don't think so.

"Shawn, she went to your office." said Wayne before handing me a brown envelope.

I opened it and there, I saw pictures of Hanabi coming to my office.

I tore it slightly before throwing it somewhere causing my friends to stand up in shock.

"SHAWN!" Asher shouted in shock before glaring at me.

"She was the one who walked away. she was the one who left." My jaw dropped as I answered.

"But how many years have you been looking for her for pete sake!" Jush shouted in shock.

"Stop or I'll rip your head right in front of your girlfriend." I answered without emotion before leaving them dumbfounded.

I THROW AWAY all the things I see here in my house.

It's just painful to think that after years of searching for her, this is the only thing I can find... the loss of her memory.

I punched the wall hard while continuing to cry. I'm getting hurt more and more but my heart doesn't want to stop loving Jerishee.

I just cried until I sat on the floor while ignoring the pain I was feeling now when the door to my room suddenly opened.

"Alex!" There was a trace of shock in the voice of the speaker.

I looked at it even though I couldn't see it because my vision was getting dark.

She attended me immediately before hugging me tightly.

"I love you Jerishee..." I uttered the last words before my eyelids closed.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I coldly asked Hanabi when I saw this when I opened my eyes.

"Alex..." Her face showed concern but I didn't even notice it.

"Get out." I said without emotion.

if she keeps showing up to me, it will be even more difficult for me to forget and let her go.

Maybe the pain she keeps making me feel is right, it's hard to love.

"Alex... please, let's talk." she responded imploringly.

I didn't pay attention to her and simply stood up from lying down even though my body was still in pain.

"Your doctor said to rest first." she said.

I didn't even look at her and I just walked straight.

"Close the door right after you leave." I said rudely before entering the comfort room.

I only took a few minutes to get ready before leaving the comfort room. When I saw Hanabi sitting in front of my beanbag, my joy disappeared again.

"Alex... I'm sorry. I found out from Mother that you are the one paying Nina's hospital bill. I would like to thank you and apologize for what I did to you and for insulting you." she said bowing.

"Is that all? Get out." I answered before opening the door for her.

she didn't speak or move but she just sat quietly while her eyes screamed sadness.

I wanted to hug her and let her know how much I love her but when I remembered how she pushed me away, I shook my head slightly before my face fell.

"If you came here to beg me to continue treating your sister, don't worry, I won't stop that. Now, get out of my sight if you don't want me to drag you out."

She slowly stood up from her seat before walking towards the door.

see? That's really all she came here for. she came back for her sister... her sister who wasn't related by blood.

HANABI

I'm just sitting QUIET now while continuing to cry. I know it's all my fault but why is the pain he's giving me so much?

"Miss? Are you okay?" I raised my head slightly to see the person who spoke.

I was amazed when I looked at it from head to toe. Very handsome!

I smiled when he suddenly scratched the back of his neck as if he was ashamed of me.

"All right." I replied sparingly.

He looked at the seat next to me before smiling a little, "I'm Jusher Drei Villañes, just call me Jush for short."

"I'm... Hanabi Eorisne Davis." I answered crying before wiping my tears.

"Can I sit down?" This is a question for me.

He looks nice so I don't have a problem.

"Alright..."

"Why are you crying?"

My smile immediately disappeared before turning to another habit.

"Nothing..." I said sadly before bowing.

"Ahh." He nodded in response before falling silent again.

A moment of silence prevailed all around as we both looked at each other.

"Shawn?!" I barely looked at Jush when he suddenly shouted while looking somewhere.

my heart seemed to be in a race to see the person Jush called.

"Alex..." I whispered softly.

I watched Alex as if he was looking for someone.

"Shawn!!" Jush shouted again causing us to get his attention.

I closed my eyes when I realized that the two knew each other.

"Jush?" Alex asked in shock before looking at my behavior.

He paused for a moment before approaching us with a blank expression.

"What are you doing here?" It asked Jush.

"Ahh I was going to visit you because I saw this Hanabi crying here so I went with her." Jush replied with a smile.

Alex turned to my behavior, "Leave now."

I frowned before giving him a bad look.

"I'm not in your room anymore, am I?" My voice broke while saying that.

"I don't give a damn as long as you leave this f*ckin place." He answered firmly.

"Stop it Shawn. You're such a boy." Jush's groin was annoyed.

I looked at him with a smile on my face causing Alex to clench his fist, "I'm fine Jush, thank you. Alright... I'll go first."

"Are you sure? Do you want me to--" Jush couldn't finish what he was going to say when Alex suddenly pulled him away from my place.

I was a little sad about Alex's decision.

If only I could stay by your side...
