''Bye tita V, see you later'' I said goodbye to Aunt Veronica, I just finished my shift at her Coffee shop and I really am excited to go home.
"Where's your car?" she ask.
"I'm not in the mood to drive so I left it at home." I mumble and she shrug at me.
"That is so you darling, take care.'' I just wave back and when I came out, the cold wind immediately greeted me, which made my hair stand on end. I immediately went to the bus station to get myself a ride home.
I finally reached our subdivision and the guard greeted me, I nod acknowledging him and walk straight home.
I was about to open our door when my mother then came into view and she pulled me inside towards the living room where I saw my father sitting and patiently waiting for us.
''Mama, is everything okay? you .. you guys don't look good.''
''Baby a Pack of Werewolves are coming this week, " my mother started "We don't know exactly the time and date they'll arrive to town." my mother said making me stare at her.
"The Alpha of the pack is looking for his mate and only him will determine who truly is his mate." my father added.
''So what mama, nothing will change and knowing that I will not be chosen by whoever that Alpha is , please don't stress yourselves with this kinds of stuffs.'' I stood up and Dad spoke again.
''We just wanted you to be safe darling and to think that he is not just an ordinary person." he started " They .. they wanted all the maidens to go at the convention hall and the Alpha will be able to determine if his mate will be there.'' he said seriously and I sat down again.
''Darling, the Alpha will come and take his mate this week and ..'' I walk towards her and cut whatever shes' about to say.
"Okay enough. First and foremost he's not going to choose me or whatsoever, because, there are lots of beautiful women who can be his mate,'' I then hug the both of them to somehow reduce their anxiety. ''For now, I will go up to my room and have a good rest. I love you guys"
Another day passed and I could not deny that I was very nervous for no apparent reason. What if I was the one who's been choose? What if I am the one for him? There still are so many what if's ringing through my head and I hate it when I can't provide any answer.
What if I will just stay in here and not to attend, I'm sure they will not notice who attend and who didn't.
