Chapter 6

"Not a threat, a condition." The old wolf king said. "Either that she-wolf disappears, or I take my daughter, my pack, my territory, and turn around and leave the Northern Territory."

After a long silence, Kieran finally spoke: "I'll handle it."

"I'll await your news." He left that sentence, footsteps gradually fading.

Only Kieran's shadow remained at the door.

When I was taken to the training ground, I saw Luna.

Two Silvermoon guards stood beside her, both holding silver bullet guns.

Seeing me brought over, she smiled: "You can go."

The two Nightshade subordinates turned and left. Suddenly only me, her, and the two guns beside her remained on the training ground.

She took a silver bullet gun from one of the guards, methodically checking the magazine.

"You're a very troublesome she-wolf, Raven." She said with a smile. "I don't like troublesome she-wolves staying near my fiancé. Any last words?"

I suddenly laughed: "Yes. Your people are too stupid."

The words barely left my mouth when I suddenly dodged sideways, my whole body tilting to the side—pretending my legs gave out, using the momentum to crash into the nearest guard.

As he instinctively moved to support me, I grabbed his wrist and twisted hard. The sound of a dislocated joint was clearly audible.

He roared in pain, the gun flying from his hand. I caught it mid-air. Almost in the same second, I flipped my wrist and shot the other guard in the knee. His knee shattered, his whole body collapsing.

Luna shrieked. Her hand trembled, the bullet veering off, shooting into the nearby woods.

I took a quick step forward, my left hand gripping her throat, my right hand's gun pressed against her temple.

"Kieran—!" Luna screamed shrilly. "Kieran!!!"

Her voice tore through the night. Soon, urgent footsteps sounded from afar, beams of flashlights sweeping from the other end. Within ten seconds, Kieran appeared in that circle of light.

Behind him followed a group of people, guns already drawn. Seeing this scene, his expression instantly darkened to the extreme.

"Raven."

I smiled slightly: "You came so quickly."

Several guns were already aimed at me.

I pushed Luna forward: "Come any closer, and I'll blow your fiancée's head off first."

Luna trembled all over: "Kieran—she's going to kill me! Shoot her quickly!"

Kieran raised his hand, signaling everyone to stand down.

His golden eyes held danger, coldness, complex emotions I couldn't read.

After a long while, he said: "Get out of the Northern Territory, Raven."

Luna froze: "What? No! She knows too much! She's a threat, Kieran. You promised Father—"

"Shut up." For the first time in front of me, Kieran coldly rebuked Luna.

Luna looked at him in disbelief.

My knuckles tightened, the gun barrel still pressed against her skin.

"From now on," Kieran continued, "in the eyes of all Northern Territory packs, you are a Nightshade traitor."

He looked back at his subordinates, ordering coldly: "Drive her out. Notify all wolf packs—anyone who dares shelter her is an enemy of Nightshade."

I released Luna. She stumbled into Kieran's arms.

I slowly raised my hands and threw the gun to the ground: "As you wish, Alpha. From now on, the Northern Territory has no place for me."

Several guard team members rushed up, roughly grabbing my arms and dragging me out.

I didn't struggle.

They threw me on a desolate wilderness road at the territory border.

The night wind was cold, blowing on my barely healed wounds, the pain numbing.

Black SUVs sped away, headlights receding, leaving only dust.

I supported myself against a tree trunk, finally unable to stand, slowly sliding to the ground.

My body hurt, my heart hurt more.

A vehicle slowly stopped before me. The door opened, revealing several male wolves in dark combat gear, emanating powerful auras. Unlike the Northern Territory pack's usual style, their armbands were embroidered with understated silver totems.

The Moonshadow pack's mark.

The lead male wolf removed his sunglasses, sized me up, revealing a respectful smile.

"Miss." He said in fluent ancient wolf language. "We were sent by Lord Magnus to fetch you."

I closed my eyes, exhaling a long breath.

"You're late." I said hoarsely.

"There were some minor troubles on the road." He replied. "But fortunately, we made it."

They helped me up, carefully placing me in the vehicle.

The moment the door closed, that Northern Territory night outside was sealed beyond the heavy car window.

"Over the next few days," the lead male wolf said, "we'll prepare a new identity, communication stone, and all documents for you. When you arrive in the Eastern Territory, you'll no longer be a Nightshade pack guard. You are the Moonshadow pack heir."

I leaned back in the seat, closing my eyes.

"Good." I said softly. "Then let's go home."

The vehicle started, turned around, and drove toward the opposite end from the Northern Territory.
