Did she failed as a mother? How could her both children be dating? How could they be lovers? Even if Vida is adopted, it doesn't change anything.

She wanted to go to them, break them apart, but seeing how her boy was smiling and kept glaring at Vida. She couldn't, she was supposed to stop this sinful relationship, she was supposed to.

"So are you going to ride with me now?" Vida asked breaking the kiss.

"Am a man of my word, lead the way"

"Yea" She giggled. "Follow me" She said walking ahead. Leonard look around, and his eyes caught a figure that looks just like his mom, the person was also putting on the same clothes.

He couldn't see her face clearly, because she was at a few distance away from them. Did his mother follow them? That doesn't make sense? But if she does, then maybe she knows about them already.

To be sincere, he has no problem in telling everyone about his relationship with Vida. No, he will be more than pleased to announce their relationship, but it won't be the same for Vida.

She won't be able to handle it, and then his biggest fear will come to pass. She will request for a breakup and leave him, if that happens he won't be able to take it, he will eventually break down.

He definitely can't lose her.

"Aren't you coming?" Vida yelled faraway from him.

"Am on my way" He answered, walking to her. Let's go" He held her hand while she smiled.

Hope Orphanage House

Larry secretary was shown outside the orphanage out, waiting for someone. Just as he was waiting, a lady in her 50's came out with some file.

"It took a lot of time to find this, I have to get my pay before I can hand it over" The woman said while Larry secretary looked at her irritable.

But it doesn't seems like the woman cares either way.

"Here" He said handling him over the money in his hand, they were inside an envelope.

The woman checked the money, and smiled.

"So gullible, so where is it?"

"Here, that is the information about the girl you are looking. I remember clearly when her mother abandoned her here" She said as he handled over the file.

"You can leave now" Larry secretary ordered and she left.

"Let's see what we have here" He opened the envelope and bring out the file.

His mouth dropped open in shock seeing what was in his hand. He trembled in fear, for the first time in his whole life, he accepted he made a mistake.

He remembered his boss words. 'I will make anyone who ever make her suffer, regret it"

Was it her all along? She is his daughter.

"That was so much fun" Vida screamed excited, on the other hand. Leonard went to a corner vomiting.

"Are you ok?" Vida questioned handling him a bottle of water.

"Ok? Am far from ok. How could you enjoyed riding such? I thought I was gonna die"

"At least you didn't, what should we do next? Go to eat, go to the beach house?"

"I think we sh......" His phone rings interrupting him from finishing his statement.

"Am sorry, let me pick this" He requested. Lucie nod giving him a go ahead.

"Hello"

"It is me, the private investigator. I have the information you want. Where should we meet?"

"You have the information, that is fast?"

"I have to do so I get paid quick, and get hired for more. So where should we meet?"

"At the café where we met before, I will meet you there. Thank you" He said delightful and hung up.

"Who was that?" Vida asked.

"Hmm, just a friend. Am so sorry babe, but I gotta go. Something important came up, am so so sorry"

"Again? This is our first date you know"

"I know, but I promise to make it up to you. Just go home straight, I will meet you at home"

"Ok, I will be waiting"

"See you" He said and left. He got on his bike, and left immediately to where he agreed to meet the private investigator.

He got off the bike when he finally arrived at the location. He head inside the café, with nothing but happiness.

If he find her mom for her, then....She will probably like him more.

"You are such a great person, Leonard Cohen" He compliment himself.

"You are here" The private investigator said as they shakes hands.

"Why didn't you order anything?"

"I was waiting for you"

"I see, let's order something then continue" Leonard called the bartender and were served the order.

"So you said you have something for me, did you really found her?"

"Yes, you must have doubt seeing how surprised you are. I have every information about Kathryn Perkins.

"Here is everything I have on her" He uttered and stretched the document to him.

"She was a stripper in a rich club, then she met a rich guy in the club and fell in love with him, but just like every poor girl, rich guy relationship.

The guy's parent didn't approve their relationship, so they had to break up. But she was already pregnant at the time, after she gave birth to twins. She decided to raise one, and give the other one to the guy.

From what I heard from her friend, she loved the daughter with her very much. But when she found out she was diagnosed with cancer. She abandoned her daughter, and went off living alone till her last breath"

"Wait, she is dead" Leonard asked. He really feels sorry for Vida, she didn't even know why her mom abandoned her, and she hated her. She didn't even know she had a father and a twin sister.

"Yes, but that isn't the shocking news"

"The man she fell in love with is.... "

"Who?"

"Check it yourself" He suggested. Leonard looked at him weirdly, and opened the document with him.

His hand shakes, and his eyes widened. He was shocked beyond words.

No, he was probably daydreaming.

"What.... is this?" He asked with his voice shaken.

"The man she fell in love with. Larry Cohen, your uncle.

"What? You are joking right?"

"Didn't you know, I thought that is why you asked me to look into her"

"No.... no..... you are joking.... no, you have to be joking" He scoffed, stood up but fall. His whole body was shaking right now, he's got to be joking.

No, he must be joking. There is no way Larry is Vida father.

But then, he heard something similar to this from Valarie when they were young.

So it is true after all. His Vida.... the girl he loves is his biggest enemy's daughter. Vida is Larry's daughter.

"Are you ok?" He asked.

"No, my heart....." He said with tears, beating his chest.

"My heart is in pain, it hurts so much. My heart, I can't.... breathe. Please.... save.....me"

His heart hurts so much, Vida is Larry's daughter, she is his daughter.

"Ah......My heart" He groaned in pain. It really hurts, it hurts more than his dad's death, his heart is really in pain.

Falling in love isn't a crime, how about falling for the wrong person? Or find happiness in the wrong person? Is that a crime?

Why is fate being so cruel to him? Is he getting punished for the bad things he has done to so many girls, ruining their relationships. Is he getting punished for that?

"Are you alright?" The private investigator asked but Leonard just keep beating his chest unable to breathe.

The private investigator picked the cup of water from the table and gave it to him. He drank the whole glass, and let out a loud sigh.

What happened to him brought the people in the café attention to him.

"Is he alright?" They asked the private investigator.

"Are you ok? Don't you need to go to the hospital?" The private investigator asked and Leonard nod.

With the help of the private investigator, he stood up.

"I will get going, I will like you to not tell my mom all that had happened today, and the information you got for me. I will be really glad if you keep this as a secret and also get rid of the document"

"Ok, just take care of yourself" The private investigator said and he nod, then left the café.

He couldn't drive his bike in this state, actually, he couldn't do anything than walking. That is the only way to clear this head, but that wouldn't heal his wounded heart.

Standing in front of the beach house where he created memories with both his father and Vida.

Leonard didn't know how he got here, but this was the only place his head could think of.

A place to cry and be alone. That is exactly what he need right now, he can't think of what to do.

He doesn't know what to do, he had always heard the saying that the truth is better buried. Today was a proof of it, he regret ever looking for her mom, he regret trying to be the perfect boyfriend.

He should have done nothing, if he had. Then it won't hurt like this, his heart hurts so much.

He feels sorry for his poor father, he died in the hand of the brother he loved and trust. And his son, his son fell in love with his killer daughter.

"His poor father" He cries on his knees.

"I am so sorry dad, am sorry for everything. I should have never met her, I shouldn't have never fallen in love with her. But yet I don't regret it, knowing her and loving her.

He cries and continue crying till there were no more tears in his eyes. He look so pale and fragile, he has been crying and had been on his knees for hours.

He couldn't help but to feel guilty for his dad's death.

His phone rings bringing him back from his thoughts, he looked at his phone screen and noticed he had 20 missed calls from Vida.

He sighed and leap up. "Am sorry, dad" Was his last word before he left.

She looked outside her window, hoping for Leonard to come in with his bike. She is damn worried about him, he hasn't come back and his mother isn't also in.

Mrs Dwayne went to visit the wounded driver, she is home with maids she hardly talk to.

She had tried Leonard number countless time, but he won't pick it. She couldn't help but to be cogitated on why he isn't picking up and where he is.

She is so worried and scared that he might be harm, she was so lost in thought that she had no idea that Leonard was inside the room with her.

"Vida..." He called bringing her to notice of his presence.

She turned to him and want to charge at him, making him realize how worried and scared she was, but she couldn't do that seeing the look on his face.

His eyes is so red, and he looked like he might tear up soon. His face looks so pale, and he looks fragile. His eyes is filled with so much pain, regret and guilt like he might break down soon, he looks like he is suffering from excruciating pain, and that breaks her heart, seeing him like that makes her heart aches.

"Leo, what happened to you?" She asked and wanted to touch his face but he held her hand.

He bored his eyes into hers, he wanted to yell at her, blamed her, hate her for what her dad did to his family.

But seeing her Innocent face, he couldn't do that to her. He knows it will ruin her if he tells her about what her dad did, he can't do that to Vida.

"Leonard, is something wrong?" She asked worried.

He released her hand and pulled her into a sudden hug.

"I love you, Vida" He confessed as his tears fall on her shoulder.

"Leonard..." She called shocked. She wasn't expecting him to say that, he caught her off guard with his words.

But why does he sound sad saying those words, does loving her bring him sadness? she thought.

He pulled away from her when he heard nothing from her.

"Why aren't you saying anything?" He asked, gleaming with anxiety.

"Please tell me you love me too" He cupped her cheeks, desperately for her answer.

"Leonard, what is going on? Why are you acting strange?"

"Just fucking tell me you love me" He startled her by raising his voice at her.

"Ah" He removed his hand from her cheeks to his brown hair, he ruffled it frustrated.

"I am sorry Vida, am sorry for yelling at you. You should rest up, I will go to my room too"

Vida held his shirt before he take a step further. "I love you too" She said and bite her plump bottom lip.

"I love you so much" She added and he turned to her.

He looked at her with different emotions, and pulling her to himself and kissed her roughly. She wasn't expecting that to be his next reaction, but she played along with him.

Letting him do whatever he want with her, he was rough, dominating and demanding. He seems so different from the Leonard she went on a date with this morning, to her it seems like he is on the edge of going back to his old self.

That cold cruel Leonard, that is the last thing she want to happen. But what scares her more is that she might be the reason for that to happen.

She fear that she might lose him, and she might be the reason for that.
