Chapter 3 – A Bastard

After hearing that, Christopher's face did not have any joy. On the contrary, he felt more and more embarrassed.

The doctors and nurses who examined Leslie all kept their heads down, trying not to offend Christopher.

Leslie looked at Christopher's response. She felt somewhere in her heart was throbbing with pain.

The nurses around felt sympathy for Leslie, but they hung their heads as if they were invisible.

Yet there was much more to it than that.

In front of everyone in the ward, Christopher said in a mocking tone, "Leslie, you are so disgusting. How dare you plant your guilt on me after sleeping with another man? "

Leslie was stunned. She never thought that he would question her innocence in public.

Did he not know that she was also a human being, who also would feel sad?

The eyes of the people around shifted suddenly. The nurse, who was sympathetic to her before, changed her face to one of contempt immediately.

"Yes, how could such a perfect person like him assault a woman for no reason?"

"Yes, I think this woman is a bitch. She slept with another man and then she was caught by him.

Leslie covered her ears with both hands, but the unkind words continued to come into her ears.

She was not a bad woman and she did not cheat anyone. She did nothing wrong. Seeing Leslie's misery, Christopher's heart had an indescribable pleasure.

He forced her to take the pill after making love with him every time. How could she be pregnant now? This baby can't be his.

Christopher's indifference finally made Leslie's anger outbreak.

She shouted at Christopher, "Christopher Loomis, that's enough. You know I didn't sleep with any man besides you. You know that the baby is yours."

Leslie's voice came to an abrupt end with a loud slap.

Everyone was confused. The nurses around were all shocked and even kept opening their mouths.

Christopher snorted without any emotion. He looked at Leslie with a cold face, "Enough? You have no right to say that. Even the words from a real prostitute are more convincing than you!"

Leslie put her hands over his face and said dumbly, "In your eyes, I'm worse than a prostitute?"

Christopher said angrily in front of everyone without any concession, "Because a prostitute only needs other people's money. While you, want other people's lives in addition to their money! You are worse than a cheap prostitute in my eyes!"

He grabbed Leslie's hand and pulled her towards the doctor, "Give me the DNA test immediately. I want to test whether the child is mine or not."

His words made Leslie more painful. Why couldn't he trust her?

The doctor advised, "Mr. Loomis, your wife's health is really not good. And that baby's fetal position is still not stable. If we rashly go for amniocentesis now, I am afraid that this baby may not live to see the earth."

Christopher curled his lips and said in a cruel and mocking way, "That's good. This bastard is originally unfit to be born."
