It's On

Friendship is the first step of love. But sometimes you can fall in love with your enemy as well. That’s why it’s said life is unpredictable. It’s also said that the best of friends make the best pair. They know each other in and out, It helps them to protect each other from the evils of their lives.

Rob was already in love with Tridha. He wanted to be in her life. He wanted her to know that there is someone named Rob who cares for her. He didn’t expect her love back in response, he is happy being her friend. He knew Tridha had only a few friends and he is one of them. It’s more than enough for her.

For Tridha, she has grown up alone and away from all the bondings of family. She didn’t get to fell much of emotions or feelings in her life. The only thing she had in life that is friendship. But after she became a RJ, she has got a huge number of fan following. Among all of them, she never got a friend. Now she got one in Rob out of nowhere, but she is happy with it.

After few days

Rob and Tridha has become really close friend. It has become their routine to talk to each other at night everyday. Tridha has also added Rob in her friend list. And Rob was more than happy to be with her. He had jumped like crazy that night when he had received the notification that she has accepted his friend request. He had also given treat to Mayur and Rishav. After all they had helped to reach till here.

At Rob’s place

Rob with Rishav and Mayur was sitting in his room. They were talking about Tridha.

M (seriously): Rob, listen it’s the most difficult phase in a relationship. The hardest one.

R (frowned bring confused): Difficult phase means? She has already added me in her friend list then why is it difficult time now? It has passed, right?

M (nodding his head in no): You don’t know while talking to each other, there comes a moment when ‘timing’ become the most important thing. That time you won’t wait for me to suggest you something then you will come and reply. This time You have to reply at instant.

A (patting Rob’s back): Don’t worry, Mayur, Rob can do many things. He will do this as well. He is expert in handling situations.

R (confused): Wait, wait, moment? Timing? Which moment? Which timing?

M: Moment means unsaid moments when she will have something unsaid. You have to say that before her. Remember one thing this girl is not some random one, she is a smart girl. Never say something stupid like I love you, I won’t be able to live without you to her. You have to move forward smartly and handle everything smartly.

R: Smartly?

M: Yes.

R: Timing?

M: Yes. Timing is the main thing.

That day

It’s 10 already so Rob turn on the radio to hear Tridha’s show.

T: Hello, friends, am RJ Tridha. Am back on Radio O2 with your favourite show NIGHT IS STILL YOUNG.

And Rob started his regular doing which is sending stupid messages to Tridha.

Today he wrote

“On which scale you sneeze?”

Tridha read the message and started laughing loudly. Her speaker was on, she realized it later.

T: Sorry, friends, I laughed out loud don’t be surprised hearing that. So now am playing the song Mercy by Baadshah.

Rob also smiled when he heard Tridha laughing. He knew the reason it’s his message only. He again messaged

“What’s the need of playing any song? You keep on talking that’s more amazing. Your voice is melodious than them. I feel I can hear you all my life non stop. Now play the song Dilemma.”

T: So, friends it’s time for break but before that I will play the song Dilemma.

T: Hello, friends, am back. It’s Neil who said

“Di, which thing you like most?”

T: (became a little sad but covered that immediately and replied in her usual happy tone) umm I like colours. I like colorful anything. That can be bright flower, bright colour, bright dress. Anything. So, friends, it’s time for me to leave. I will see you guys tomorrow. Till then take care, stay safe and good bye.

In Rob’s house when he heard Tridha playing his requested song he kept his hand on his heart and made a face like love sick puppy.

Then he heard Tridha saying she like colours bright colours.

R: Colours, she likes bright colours….. Nice.

At night

Rob and Tridha were chatting.

R (babishly): I toh want to know you. I ask you so many questions in live also But you don’t answer.

T (in shocking tone): You question me in live? I didn’t see. When did you?

R (smirking): you have seen my questions. I have proof.

T (wondered): Really!!! What proof? Tell me.

She was eager to know as she had no idea about this. Rob never said anything about this to her so it came like a sudden jerk to her.

R: You can’t hear. As you work in radio I can hear you. But I don’t work in radio so you can’t hear me.

Rob saved the number in his phone. After chatting for some more time they decided to call it a day.

Rob was like in the cloud 7. Finally he got her number. Rob dialed Mayur’s number. After a while Mayur picked up his call.

M (shouted in sleepy tone): What the hell is this, Rob? Is it the time to call someone? Where is your manners, dude?

Rob didn’t pay any heed to him. Today he was in some other world. He had just got Tridha’s number. He was going mad out of happiness. He didn’t know how to express it. In excitement, he couldn’t gather his words properly.

R: Mayur Mayur Mayur, I am so happy today. You know finally I got the number of Tridha.

Mayur who was sleepy till now, jumped on his place hearing Rob.

M (excitedly): What? Really?

R (smiling to his fullest): Yes, Mayur.

M: Congrats, buddy.

R: Thank you to you buddy. It became possible because of you.

M: Will you make me cry now? Now go to sleep. It’s late. We will talk later. Please sleep. Don’t be awake in excitement whole night.

R: Good night.

M: Good night.

They hung up the call. Rob while dancing lie down on his bed. But sleep was far away from him today. While thinking about Tridha he slept to welcome a new day.
