Locked in with My Bodyguard #1
"Guess how much I'd have to pay to get you to stop acting like a robot and actually use that tongue between my legs, Mercer?"
Cole Mercer didn't say a word. He just stood about three feet away from Sienna Blackwell in the hallway of her 48th-floor penthouse. It was sweltering outside, but Cole barely noticed. The silence between them was harder to ignore.
After eleven days, he should have been able to tune her out. Instead, he found himself listening for her. Her voice carried the confidence of someone who rarely heard no.
Sienna grew up with everything—money, attention, people doing whatever she wanted. Cole was from a totally different world. He was an ex-soldier, 6'3", broad shoulders—you couldn't miss the guy. He was getting paid a ton of money to keep Sienna safe and keep her name out of the tabloids.
A noise from inside the apartment snapped him out of it.
Cole was guarding the door when he heard a loud moan—half-scream, half-sigh—coming from inside. His hand went to his gun before he even realized what he was hearing. He swiped his card, unlocked the door, and stepped inside with his weapon half-drawn.
Three steps in, and he stopped dead.
Sienna was on the white sofa, completely naked, legs spread wide. She was using a thick pink sex toy, moving with this kind of rough, hungry energy. She was circling her clit with her other hand, her body arching off the cushions.
She saw him in the doorway and didn't even stop.
He kept his grip on his gun until he realized there wasn't actually a threat. He just watched her work the toy, her eyes clouded with lust. She slowed down, pulling the toy almost all the way out before slamming it back in with a loud, wet sound.
"God," she whispered. "Took you long enough to get in here, Mercer."
He lowered the gun, but he didn't move an inch.
Sienna started grinding harder, locking eyes with him. She was sweating and breathing heavily.
"You're supposed to protect me, right?" She said, her hips lifting. "Then do it. Just stand there and make sure nobody else comes in while I make myself come."
He knew he should probably just leave, but neither of them said anything. Cole suddenly became aware of how little space there was between them.
Sienna smiled. "Good boy."
She spread her legs and slid the toy deep inside. Cole just shifted his weight, face blank. He stood there, fully dressed and armed, just watching. She watched his face, waiting for the smallest reaction.
"You're staring, Mercer," she breathed. "Want to know what I'm thinking?"
His jaw tightened.
"I'm thinking about how often you walk in here and find me like this. I'm thinking about when you'll stop being a robot, grab my hair, and pin me to this sofa. I'm thinking about how quiet you are... and how loud I'd scream if you actually touched me."
Something in him shifted, and he had to force himself to stay where he was. Her muscles tightened as the orgasm hit her.
She let the toy drop beside the sofa and sank back into the cushions, breathing hard, her cheeks flushed.
Cole looked away for a second.
It didn't help.
Every part of him wanted to move closer. His training told him to leave.
He knew the rules. Walking away was supposed to be the easy part.
Sienna watched him without a hint of shame. She touched herself again, her eyes fixed on his face, waiting for him to crack.
"You're hard," she whispered. "I can see it from here."
Cole looked away, forcing himself to focus on anything except her.
Sienna got up and headed toward the bedroom as if nothing happened.
"No," Cole growled.
The corner of Sienna's mouth lifted.
"Good. Because tomorrow night you're taking me to a charity event. Private elevator. Just the two of us." She ran a finger through the moisture between her thighs and held it up to the light. "And if you keep looking at me like that... I might decide I need 'protection' from something very different."
As she walked past him, her perfume lingered after she passed him.
"Same time tomorrow, Mercer," she whispered in his ear. "Don't be late. I get bored easily."
She walked into the bedroom and left the door open.
Cole stayed in the hallway, staring after her.
"Stop being so tense, Mercer," she called out from the bedroom. "You look like you're about to get executed, not meet the hottest woman in Miami."
Cole looked toward the door, but his earpiece buzzed before he could say anything. "Mercer? Any report?"
"All clear," he replied, his voice sounding raspy.
"What's going on up there? You sound... unfocused," his partner asked from downstairs.
"Just a false alarm," Cole said, his voice steadying even though his throat felt tight.
"What happened?"
"None of your business."
The other guard chuckled. "Specific answer. You're doing something you shouldn't be, aren't you?"
Cole ignored him. He walked through the place, checking the windows, the balcony door, and the security panels. Everything was secure. No intruders. No threats.
The report itself was easy. Explaining why he was distracted was another matter. Protecting Sienna was his job, but keeping his distance was getting way harder.
Sienna was the wife of his biggest client, a property tycoon who was in New York right now. Cole was just the high-paid 'watchdog.' Whatever tension had started between them eleven days ago was only getting worse.
His phone buzzed. A notification from Blackwell Security: CHARITY GALA - TOMORROW, 20:00.
Cole looked over the schedule: private lift, south entrance, security sweep. It was routine stuff, but with Sienna, even routine assignments felt unpredictable.
His phone buzzed again.
"Wear the black suit tomorrow," she wrote.
He hesitated before replying. A second later, another message popped up.
"Not the boring one. Wear the tight one. The one that shows off your shoulders."
Cole typed back: "My wardrobe isn't part of your security detail, Miss."
The reply was instant. "Everything about you is part of my security detail, Mercer. Including what you wear under that suit."
Cole stared at the message for a moment before locking his phone. He could almost hear her laughing.
Another message came through: "And Mercer? Don't be so serious tomorrow. I want to see you enjoy the game. I want you to control me in front of everyone, then break me when we're alone."
Cole locked his phone.
Tomorrow was supposed to be another routine security detail.
For some reason, he already knew it wouldn't be.
