Goodbye Seyan

The two girls reached their assigned rooms which were located a little far away from the main building which had the reception. It was a two-storeyed building with each floor comprising ten vast rooms. On top of the last floor stood a large golden pattern of letters that gleamed brightly. They both check out the building with awe, fresh air gushed towards them, swaying their hair to and fro.

"Welcome to wing G," spoke a smartly dressed lady who looked to be in her early twenties. She smiled at the two girls warmly making them feel comfortable, helping them with their luggage and showing them to their rooms.

Having reached her room, Seyan slumped on the bed sighing tiredly. She looked at the surroundings and noticed the simple and cosy room. Her stepsister's room was situated opposite hers on which at the top of it '106' had been marked.

"Not bad at all," murmured Seyan to herself as she felt the cosiness of the room.

"Ding!"

Her phone lit up as a notification popped on her lock screen.

"Yan are you sure you're alright over there?" she read.

[Yeah I'm sure I'll be ok. Don't worry mum, wink]

With that typed, Seyan tossed her phone aside and dived into a deep slumber. She hadn't known how long she had slept when a knock on the door woke her up.

"Tap! Tap!" came the sound at the door. Seyan sat up and sleepily rubbed her eyes. Craning her neck to stare at the window, she saw the sun setting. The sky was beautiful with that golden hue that painted a picture of a golden sea.

The knocker didn't seem to give up as the knocking sound was persistent. Seyan knew who the knocker was but she felt too lazy to open the door.

"Who's it?" She asked, casually sitting on her bed.

"It's me, Yvonne," replied the knocker.

"Come in."

The door clicked open as Yvonne entered her sister's room. In her hands, she carried two coupons and she handed one to her sister with a smile on her face.

"What is this?" Asked Seyan warily.

"These are eating coupons at the cafeteria," she happily explained like an obedient lovely sister while in her heart she only bore evil intentions.

"Ok. Wait for me outside I'll be there in a minute," she nonchalantly answered.

A few minutes later, the two sisters walked side by side to the cafeteria for dinner. They once again bumped into Ashley who immediately sat beside Seyan lovingly. He would occasionally fill her bowl with food ignoring the jealous sister.

Trying to hide her jealousy, Yvonne smiled, "Ashley is really sweet to my sister."

However, Ashley ignored and acted coldly toward her, for he didn't answer any of her comments. Naturally, Ashley hated Yvonne and felt that all the good deeds towards her sister, Seyan were fake.

Having had dinner, the trio took a stroll around the park. Yvonne suddenly suggested that they should go for a walk at the waterfall that was a quarter an hour away from the cafeteria. Seyan thought it would be refreshing so she accepted the suggestion.

Ashley held Seyan's hand as they headed towards the waterfall cliff. It was already 6 pm by the time they arrived there. They sat on the green grass as they stared at the breathtaking scenery below them. The sounds of the water rippling down felt like a soothing rhythm to their ears.

"We better get going before it turns cold," suggested Ashley. He was worrying for Seyan because he knew she had cold-related allergies.

Hearing this, Cavannah slightly pouted as she retorted, "A little bit longer. Pretty please."

She cast him those big pleading eyes that made it impossible to resist her request. He sighed in defeat as he gave in. Suddenly, Seyan noticed that she didn't have her phone with her.

"Um... sorry Ash but can I disturb you a bit?" Stammered Seyan.

"Say it."

"I think I forgot my phone at the cafeteria, do you mind getting it for me?" she fiddled with her fingers. She was always helpless in front of her boyfriend.

"Uhh, you are still clumsy as usual," scolded Ash, lightly pinching her sharp nose.

Ash left the scene leaving the two sisters. Yvonne thought of pushing Seyan down the cliff without making it obvious.

So she suggested, "Should we go stone climbing like those days?"

"Sure."

The two girls went stone climbing. Suddenly, the atmosphere turned windy. The winds howled vigorously making it impossible for Seyan to breathe as the cold bit through her skin. She suddenly started feeling dizzy, and the harness at the top started shaking, threatening to loosen.

"What's wrong?" Asked Yvonne faking the worry in her voice.

"Hurry up we should make it up there before 7 pm, " urged Yvonne who was almost reaching the top. When she reached, she stared at the dizzy-headed Cavannah who couldn't see anything.

She felt her vision blurry but she could see Yvonne trying to alter with her harness. When Ash arrived with her phone, he saw Yvonne fiddling with something. As he edged closer, he saw the pale face of Seyan.

"Yan, hold on I'll pull you up," he shouted worriedly. He stretched his arm towards Seyan to hold but it was already late as the harness had already loosened.

Seyan fell down the dark cliff. After a fall of eternity, her head finally hit the hard ground but she could hear the painful echo screams of Ash and the fake sobs of her stepsister.

"I guess I was too careless. Is this truly the end of me?! If I get a second chance to leave, Yvonne better not cross paths with me," she thought in disbelief. Surely her life ended so carelessly.

As her soul exited her body, she knew she couldn't make it even though they were to find her body. Seyan wanted to stay awake and she wished that if she were to be given a second chance in life, then she would surely avenge herself.

However, it was as if her pleas landed on deaf ears for the heavens kept on extracting her soul from her body. A crimson-red liquid oozed out of her head and other body parts which were injured.

It was at this moment that she was welcomed by the dark abyss of demise.

Meanwhile, at the top of the cliff, Ash cried painfully, with Yvonne trying to comfort him but in her heart, she felt the tickles of bliss. Everything that she wanted was finally going to be in her hands now. Ashley, school fame, two parents and her luxury.

"Goodbye, Seyan," she smiled in her heart as she hugged the sobbing Ash.
