Lauren said over the phone speaking with Miss Ellie. She ended the call and threw her phone on the bed.

She changed into her night pajamas and packed her hair into two buns. She sat beside her mirror and took a look at herself. She breathed a sigh of relief.

"How I wish Mom and Dad were still alive... The shame am facing right now is too much"

She muttered and stood up, walked to her bed, and lay on it.

"Why does bad stuff happen to me? Why me? Why not someone else?

I was framed for committing suicide, I am now asthmatic, and I was almost impeached from the CEO's position if not for Ethan. And now am pregnant"

Her mind became clouded with a lot of thought. She didn't notice she was crying until a teardrop fell right on her bare shoulder.

She cleaned the tear.

Ethan sat down on the ground with his face still covered with a mask. His hands were tied. He heard a shoe footsteps coming close to him.

He heard Luke's voice.

Luke commanded and he felt two hands removing the mask from his head.

He said looking at Ethan.

Ethan scoffs.

Luke was a bit surprised. He looked at his men.

He said and they all laughed.

Am hungry and I have to get home quick"

Ethan said again.

"I don't think you will be able to eat your dinner cos you will be dead by that time...

Luke said into his face.

I knew hatred would suddenly make you act up... you knew I was a threat to your plan to take your CEO position and now you decided to clear me out of your way

Once I didn't tell my sister I was okay over the phone before 9 pm... She always knows if am okay and wants to hear my voice before bedtime. She will assume am being kidnapped by you and then she will release the video putting you and Mr. George's reputation in the mud"

"She knows about everything, what you did and what your dad did to cover up your crime"

Luke was scared for a bit.

He smiles.
