Chapter 14: The Sister
After a whole weekend filled with joy and intimate moments, the lovebirds have returned home. This morning, Franck dropped off Béa at the pastry shop before going to work. She was so tired that she kept mixing up customer orders. Seeing this, Annie and Léa suggested that he rest for a while. The young girls took care of the customers alone. When he finished checking his last files, Franck went to the pastry shop to pick up Bea.
Franck: Good evening girls. Where is your boss.
Annie: Good evening Uncle Franck, she is sleeping in the locker room. I'm going to take her
Franck: No I will do it myself. How long has she been sleeping?
Annie: Since this afternoon
Frank: Alright. And by the way, Annie, I don't want you to take advantage of the fact that Bea isn't home anymore to do something silly, do you understand? I don't want her to kill me.
Annie: I promise uncle.
He headed to the locker room and found his beauty asleep.
Franck: Stand up groundhog. They tell me you've been sleeping since this afternoon. What's wrong with you? Do you feel sick?
Béa: Just tired. Maybe if you had let me sleep yesterday I wouldn't be like this.
Franck: It's your fault, you shouldn't have been sexy.
Bea: That's it.
Franck: Baby, my sister is coming home tomorrow so I would like you to take your day off tomorrow to welcome her please.
Béa: Your sister is the nuisance there?
Franck: That's a nice nickname. I think I'll call it that from now on.
Yes it is indeed her. She's a bit arrogant, spoiled but she's not mean. I don't know who told her I was living with you, but she wanted to meet you.
Béa: As long as she doesn't disrespect me, there will be no problem.
The next day, Bea and the maids were in the kitchen preparing lunch. One of the servants who was also the youngest approached her to talk to her.
Maria: Madam, I don't want you to think that I am in the habit of reporting, but be very careful of Miss Caroline. It's a real plague. Because of her many colleagues quit. And she scares away all the women who approach the gentleman. What's worse is that she's been known to switch partners all the time. At the same time I understand these men. Who would like to stay with her. I heard she pays the men she dates so she changes them whenever she wants.
Bea: Really? I will be careful thank you.
After they finished cooking, they set the table.
Béa was in the shower when Franck joined her.
Bea: What are you doing here?
Franck: I came with Caroline, she's waiting for us downstairs.
Béa: So what are you doing in the shower and naked on top of that?
Franck: I came to warn you of our arrival but then I saw you and I couldn't resist
Béa: But your sister is waiting for us.
Franck: She will wait.
When they came down after a while, they found Caroline already at the table.
Franck: Caroline you are the guest here you remember I hope. You could have waited for your hosts before sitting down to eat.
Caroline: And then what? I'm at my brother's house and you want me to act like I'm a stranger.
Franck: You will never change yourself. I present to you my friend Béa, Béa she is Caroline my sister.
Bea: Enchanted Caroline
Caroline: Um...I feel like I've seen it before. What is your job. Excuse me for being blunt, but it's just to make sure you're not a diamond digger.
Franck: Caroline watch your language
Béa: Let me manage… I'm a pastry chef
Caroline: In which pastry shop do you work?
Franck: She is the owner of the phoenix.
Caroline: Ah, I was sure I had seen it somewhere. I was with a friend last time at this patisserie. One of the waitresses was disrespectful to us and she didn't even reprimand him. I wonder how you can be with such a person? Her behavior that day shows that she is not worthy to be with you.
Franck: Caroline Yao, I'm really going to get upset.
Caroline: I didn't say anything bad. Tell me, Bea, what do your parents do for a living? Are they rich?
Béa: I'm an orphan and poor, but that doesn't stop me from being a worker.
Caroline: Is it true that the rate of prostitution is high among you poor people and also that to get out of your misery you tend to cling to rich men whether they are married or not, young or old?
Béa: I don't know if what you're saying is true or not, but I know that prostitution exists among the rich and the poor alike. It all depends on how it is presented to the world.
Caroline: Can you be more clear.
Béa: Money does a lot of wonders, you know?
I take the case of two people, one poor and one rich. If the poor girl changes partners at every opportunity, she will be called a whore, but if it was the rich girl, she would use her money to hide it from people's eyes. And even if there were people who knew about her actions, they wouldn't dare to talk about it out of fear, but she's still a whore with all her money.
SPLASH was Caroline who had just hit Bea.
Caroline: You're the whore how dare you? Franck, it was you who asked him to insult me… Are you going out with this female dog? But count on me to send it back to its dustbin where it originated.
SPLASH SPLASH this time, it was Bea who had just slapped her twice.
Béa: Franck do something before I bother him.
Those were Bea's last words before going up to the bedroom.
Franck: Baby come back and I don't want to see you again when I come back down.
Caroline: What? Are you kicking me out because of that slut? I'll tell mom
Franck: Tell the pope, I don't care.
