Chapter 1

Marga Pov

I forcefully opened the door of the meeting room and entered without hesitation.

"Marga, what are you doing here?" daddy asked me angrily.

"What do you mean, dad? I am the one who should be asking that." I replied casually while walking towards him.

"I am the CEO of this company and then you ask me what I am doing here?" I asked as if crying.

"Get out of here, we'll talk later." daddy answered me coldly.

I just continued to approach him and ignored the eyes of the board of directors looking at me.

"You can't be disrespectful to barge into the meeting room like that." he added so I stopped walking.

"I'm confused dad, I need your explanation right here, right now."

I try to keep my tone of speech casual because I'm embarrassed to cry now.

"FUCK!" daddy yelled at me.

"Starting now, you will step down from your position as CEO of this company." running out of patience, he added.

"The board of directors has chosen someone to replace your position and she's going to take over as soon as possible."

My world seemed to collapse after hearing those words.

How? I am the CEO of this company. I built the Avedra Corporation to become world famous.

"This doesn't make sense. Why?" I asked confused.

"Go home, Marga. Let's talk later-"

"No, I need an explanation right now. Tell me why this is happening." I kept shouting stubbornly.

This is unfair.

"Because you are not a real child."

My chest felt tight after hearing that. What? I'm not his real son? Daddy was just kidding. It's all just a joke.

"How can you say that, dad? That is not true, right?"

"The DNA result came out yesterday and I am not your real son. Now leave this place and wait for me at home."

"So? I am no longer qualified as the company's CEO?" I asked laughing.

"Don't worry, you'll still be working at this company. You'll be going to assist your sister...."

"Oh? He's going to replace me?" I promise full of sarcasm.

"For--"

"Forget it, listen to me dad— or Mr. Chairman. Without me, the Avedra Corporation will crumble down into pieces. Mark my words." I said confidently and walked out of the meeting room.

I leaned against the door because of the shaking. When I recovered, I immediately started walking again.

So this is the reason why I was treated like a pawn since I was young. I am sure they already know since then that I am not their legitimate child. They just raised and kept me because they knew that I would be a great asset to them. But now that I've built the company to the top, they'll just throw me away like trash. I am so stupid

I immediately took out my cellphone and called my fiancee but she didn't answer.

"I need to see him." I exclaimed and decided to go to his condo.

Instead of going to Gian's condo, I collapsed here at the bar.

I want to get drunk now until I forget what happened earlier and what I saw in the parking lot of the condominium where Gian is staying. I saw him passionately kissing my sister.

"One more glass." I asked the bartender and he immediately gave it to me.

I gulped it down and slammed the glass down on the counter.

"No one appreciates you, they just used you." I exclaimed and fake laughed.

"What a dramatic life you have, Marga."

I sipped the wine that was in front of me now. I can say that I am the unluckiest person in the whole world.

Only my own family gin*go me.

"How could you do this to me? How could you gag me?" I exclaimed and slammed my fist down on the counter.

"How could you drive me away so easily? I did everything to be a good son to you even though you treated me like trash." I added and sipped the wine from the glass again.

"That's right, you don't think I'm part of your family because I'm just adopted."

"You're stupid Marga, they just used you and then you let them use you." I blame myself while thinking about everything I did for them.

"Put it on your skin, make them all pay for driving you away. Make them regret, all of them.."

"And how do you make them regret?"

I immediately looked to my side when someone spoke.

"Do you have enough power to bring them all down?"

I felt annoyed by the way he asked me so I immediately approached him and hugged him.

"I have nothing now but I will do everything to make them all kneel. I'll make them pay and beg for what they did to me even if I have to sell my soul to the devil." I snort shakily at the man in front of me.

"Be careful of what you wish for darling." He smiled at me and brushed my hair behind my ear.

I narrowed my eyes at him and stared at him intently.

"There might be a devil here to fulfill your wish and claim your soul in exchange." he added in a whisper.

"If there is a devil here, introduce me to him, handsome. I would like to make a deal with him." I said smiling and let go of his collar.

"How brave, but maybe it's because you're drunk right now that you can say that. You need to sober up first, darling. Because once I introduce you to him, there's no way to turning back. It would be too late to regret."

"I'm not drunk, where is he? Tell me and don't worry about me even he asks me to go to h*ll with him I'll gladly follow as long as he can give me all that I want." I said bravely and crossed my two arms.

He smirked at me and held my chin.

"Alright, your wish is my command. I will gladly introduce you to him."

I blinked my eyes before waking up completely.

"This is not my room." I exclaimed and immediately got up.

"I must be dreaming."

I held my head when I felt a tingling sensation. I remembered talking to a man last night but his face was not clear.

"Oh my gosh." only words came out of my mouth.

I immediately removed the blanket from my body and I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that I was still wearing my skirt. I turned around and saw my blazer and sandal lying on the sofa.

"Maybe nothing happened? I don't feel anything." I talk to myself.

I immediately got up and took my blazer. I put it on and carried my sandal.

"Did that guy bring me here? Sh*t Marga, what trouble did you get yourself into?" I'm still stupid.

I slowly came out of that room and I was even more amazed at the design of this house as I went down the stairs.

"It looks like a house built in the 1800's. Simple but elegant." I exclaimed while making my way out of the house.

I saw a door so I quickly approached it.

"Escaping already, darling?"

I turned behind me when I heard that voice. And there, I saw a handsome man standing right in front of me. Fascinating, she's just wearing a robe and carrying a cup of coffee.

I immediately shook off my thoughts and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Where am I?" I asked casually.

"In hell." he answered me with a smile and walked closer to me.

"Did you have a good time? You're not funny."

He laughed a little because of what I said.

"Didn't you wish to meet with the devil?"

I immediately remembered what we talked about last night. Sh*t, i really told him that, it's embarrassing.

He pressed my forehead with his point finger.

"It's easy, you're being too serious." he said.

I immediately shook his hand on my forehead and stood up properly.

"I'm leaving, thank you and sorry for the trouble I caused." I said and immediately turned away from him.

I was about to open the door when he closed it again.

"Not so fast, if you think a simple thank you and sorry is enough for me... then let me apologize." he whispered to me while I remained with my back to him.

"Sorry to disappoint you, darling. But this devil won't be satisfied just by that. Especially, not after all the things that you did." he added, making me sweat immediately.

"Huh? W-what did I do?" I asked trembling.

"It seems that you really don't remember everything. Then I guess I'll have to show you some evidence to convince you that I am not making these things up."

"Evidence?"

"Here's the evidence, darling."

After hearing that, I immediately faced him full of nervousness.

He untied his robe so his rebellious abs were exposed to me. Those are great biceps, blinding.

"Right here, darling." he said laughing so I immediately looked at what his hand was pointing at.

I saw some kiss marks in his neck so I immediately blushed because of embarrassment.
