"Senior Tat, Captain Frost...... " Feranmi started and paused midway as Tat turned to her.

"Why am I repeating that?" Feranmi asked no one in particular.

"Repeating what?" Tat asked her.

"Nothing. Captain Frost asked me to tell you to take me to Eyes" Feranmi finished.

"Okay" Tat said with a smile.

Feranmi held her head as she felt her head pound.

"Tsssss... " Feranmi gave an hissing sound as she stumbled.

Tat quickly stood up and grabbed her before leading her to a chair.

"I thought he used half. Why is she fainting again?" Tat mumbled before he walked towards his seat and grabbed a bottle of water.

"My head is aching me" Feranmi mumbled.

"Sorry, take some water" Tat said as he streched the bottle of water to her.

Feranmi collected it and drained half of the bottle. Her eyelids started drooping soon after as her head dropped on the table with a thud. Even breathing could be heard in the room and Tat gave a loud sigh.

"Doctor Stone used an whole injection?"

"Seems so" Tat replied.

"That's risky"

"What if her whole memory disappears?"

Everyone in the room continued giving comments and Tat rubbed his forehead. He sat on his chair and continued working, once in a while he would look over to check up on Feranmi.

Feranmi opened her eyes slowly and looked across the room. She was on her bed in the room and the room was empty. She tried to sit up before a wave of nausea washed against her. She ran towards the bathroom and threw up in the sink.

She splashed water on her face and she seemed to be feel better. Feranmi's eyes widened as she checked the time; it was past 5am already. She cursed under her breath and hurriedly tried to wear her boots.

"Hello Recruit, please report at the dining hall" Feranmi heard in her ears and she froze.

Dining hall?

She knew the auditory device implanted in their bodies could be used to pass information personally to any recruit. She slowly wore her boots and started walking to the dining hall.

The dining hall was empty making Feranmi to frown before a girl approached her.

"14?" She asked.

"Yes" Feranmi replied as the girl gave her a warmer.

"You missed lunch and dinner yesterday. That's a make up food" she said.

Feranmi's lips parted in surprise as she collected the warmer from her.

She missed lunch and dinner?  Why couldn't she remember?

"And do follow me" the girl said as she started walking.

"Where are we going?" Feranmi asked.

"Somewhere" the girl replied as she lead them to a side Feranmi hadn't been to before and to think about it; she hadn't been to many places in the NSTS.

The girl placed her palm on the scanner and the door slid open. Beside the door was a basket of gloves and nose masks. The girls grabbed a nose mask and quickly wore the gloves.

Feranmi dropped the warmer on the floor and followed suit. She looked around curiously. She wanted to ask the girl leading about where they were, but the girl's no nonsense face made Feranmi swallow her words.

They soon came to a laboratory and Feranmi's eyes widened at the number of people making experiments. They barely gave her face. Feranmi watched in awey at the different machines and tubes placed on the numerous shelves in the room.

The girl pushed a door open as a smaller lab came into view. The smaller lab had bigger shelves and there were large containers containing animals. Severed animal parts were kept separated and some of the tubes contained organs.

If a normal person entered such a lab, he or she would puke on sight. Feranmi looked around forlornly without a change in her expression. A look of surprise flashed through the leading girl's eyes.

Just three people were experimenting in the lab. Feranmi needed nobody to tell her these were the best of the best in this field.

The girl suddenly stood straight in a saluting posture.

"Captain Stone!" She said and saluted.

Another captain!

Feranmi sighed as she also saluted but didn't say a word. There were two guys and one girl. Feranmi didn't miss the disdain in the girl's eyes. She frowned immediately.

One of the guys stopped experimenting and walked towards the both of them.

"Has she eaten?" He asked.

"No, her food is in her hands" The girl replied.

"You may go" The boy said as the girl saluated again and walked out of the lab.

Feranmi sighed internally as the guy talking came into view. NSTS really had a lot of handsome guys and what was more; they dominated the place.

"14 bah?" The guy asked.

"Yeah" Feranmi replied.

"Find somewhere to seat down and eat your food" the guy said.

Feranmi wanted to laugh. Who would eat with such digusting experiments lying around? She rolled her eyes before she pointed to the nose mask covering her nose mask covering her mouth. The guy chuckled and reached to remove it. Feranmi felt tinged down her feet when the guy's hands brushed against her cheeks.

She quickly sat down and started eating the spaghetti in the warmer. It was tastier than usual and Feranmi enjoyed it. She stared at the trio without a word.

"Do you feel better?" The guy asked.

"Hmmm" Feranmi managed to reply with food in her mouth.

"Feel headaches or nauseous?" He asked again.

"Slight headache and slightly nauseous" Feranmi replied remembering when she woke up.

"She looks fine to me" the other guy said.

"What did you do yesterday?" The guy asked.

The fork in Feranmi's hands froze. She blinked her eyes rapidly but she discovered she couldn't remember anything.

Anything!

"Take a deep breath sweetie" the guy said not taking his eyes off his experiment.

Feranmi nodded and sucked in a breath. She took multiple breaths and she was surprised as she slowly remembered meeting Frost.

"I met Captain Frost and Senior Tat and I think I went to sleep" Feranmi said biting her lower lip.

"Finish your food" the guy said as Feranmi pouted.

Why was he asking her weird questions?

NSTS is a weird place to begin with.

Feranmi finished her food and closed the warmer.

"There's water in the fridge" The guy said as Feranmi noticed an electric small fridge few meters away from her. She walked towards it and grabbed a bottle of water before chugging it down her throat.

"Do you feel alright?" The guy asked.

Feranmi frowned at the guy who was repeatedly asking her questions without sparing her a glance.

"What makes you think I'm not?" Feranmi asked as the guy turned to her.

"Doctor Stone" he said.

"What am I doing here?" Feranmi asked a plain expression on her face.

"I'm supposed to have early morning jogs but I woke up late. Surprisingly, no one woke me up. I got a message to go to the dinning hall and then someone brought me here. I ate and you kept asking me weird questions, Captain Stone; could you do me the favour of telling me what's wrong with me?" Feranmi asked.

As she ate; she had tried to make head of the situation but nothing came to her. It was weird enough that she couldn't remember the previous day's activities but the guy kept asking her questions that checked on her health, something told her something was not right.

"Talk with respect" the girl bellowed.

"Its okay FX" Doctor Stone said with a smile.

"Do you want to join the Medical department?" Stone asked as Feranmi pursed her lips.

"You don't look like a doctor to me" Feranmi replied.

"You!" FX yelled her eyes bulging.

"Don't interrupt me again" Stone said as he turned to Feranmi.

"The MD is divided into the Medics and Lab" Stone explained as Feranmi nodded.

"Its nice but I'm not interested" Feranmi replied.

"But you are in science class. Shouldn't things like this interest you?" Stone asked with a smile but he wasn't smiling.

"Your smile creeps me out Captain Stone, I'll prefer if you don't smile at all" Feranmi stated.

"Really?" Stone said as the smile on his lips disappeared.

"Can I get going?" Feranmi asked.

"Will you come back?" Stone asked.

"Whether I like it or not, something tells me am still coming back here" Feranmi replied as she walked out of the lab. She closed the door and walked through the larger lab.

Almost everyone stopped what they were doing and watched the girl who was clutching unto a warmer in her hands walk out of the private laboratory, an expressionless look on her face.

She wasn't wearing an horrified or scared expression, infact she looked displeased.
