Was drugged
Alice's POV
It was dark, quiet, and peaceful, a feeling that had seemed distant from me for as long as I could remember.
My body felt numb, but a banging sound in my head and sharp pain in my core jolted me awake.
I slowly flickered my eyes open, groggily taking in my surroundings. The room was unfamiliar, spacious, with gold-plated furnishings, expensive cotton curtains, and a lavish chandelier. The sweet smell of lavender and vanilla filled the atmosphere.
A sense of disorientation washed over me as I realized I was lying in a bed, but not my own. The mattress was plush, and the sheets were soft; they seemed to stick against my skin.
With a burst of adrenaline, I scrambled to sit up, but a wave of dizziness forced me back onto the pillows. I looked underneath the duvet and gasped, shocked to find myself naked.
"No, this can't be," I thought, my mind racing with thoughts as I plunged my hands to my hurting core with urgency, only to stare back at my blood-stained hand. My virginity was gone.
My mind quickly erupted into panic as I tried to piece together how I might have ended up in this predicament.
Just a few hours ago.
Ferotina (Justin's mom) had invited me over for a chat, saying she had finally come to terms that Justin was in love with me and was finally willing to give us her blessings.
I was ecstatic upon hearing that, since Dad kept pressuring me to marry the king's grandson, Justin, so he could secure his position as pack leader.
I had hoped she'd be on my side, since she was the only one who could sway Justin into abandoning his archaeological aspirations and settling down.
When I arrived, she had offered me a glass of her special cucumber water. I had drunk it, and my mind went blank afterward, but nothing explained my current situation.
When I opened my eyes, I saw a man in a wheelchair. He seemed very uncomfortable, gasping for breath, and he told me to get out.
I tried to get out of bed, but I found that I didn't have the strength.
"I'm sorry, I can't stand up." When that man heard my voice, he suddenly lunged at me.
He started tearing at my dress, and his mouth landed on my lips, cutting off my words of refusal. It hurt, but it was also strange.
I felt a kind of joy that I had never experienced before. I know it's wrong to think this way, but the reaction of my body is real—my body likes his.
“Stop! Please stop!” I cried.
"Sorry, I can't stop!I’ve been drugged — you’re the only one who can help me now.
His kisses and caresses made me shiver.
I heard him say, "Don't be afraid, Alice. I will take responsibility for you."
Now, I scanned the room, searching for any clue, and my gaze landed on a figure, a man lying at the uppermost end of the king-sized bed. It was none other than Crownis, the disabled third-born of the Alpha of the Silver Wolf Tribe and my fiancé's uncle.
As I stared at Crownis’s perfectly handsome face, a storm of emotions swirled inside me. Anger, fear, and confusion clashed fiercely within my heart.
"How am I going to explain to the world that I lost my pride to my fiancé's uncle?" I thought to myself, but before I could bring myself to confront him, his eyes flickered open. My heart skipped a beat as his striking blue eyes locked onto mine. For a moment, we just stared at each other, as tension filled the atmosphere.
In that moment, I realized why I had been regarded as a curse my entire life. It was because I was indeed cursed; that could be the only explanation for this situation. My existence had been from one dark tunnel to the next.
Why does fate keep punishing me? Is it not enough that my existence took my mother's life, leaving me an unwanted servant in my father's house, ostracized by my own family? Even the moon goddess denied me a wolf.
I had hoped that one day I would finally meet my prince charming, get married, and leave this hellhole, but even that seemed like an impossible dream, especially after what just transpired between Crownis and I.
My blood felt like it had frozen in my veins. Because I knew, with absolute certainty, that from this moment on, there was no future for me and Justin. He would never marry a woman who had slept with his uncle—whether I had done it willingly or not.
"I know what you're worried about. We were both set up by the bad guys, but don't worry, I'll take full responsibility for everything." he whispered.
Although I'm not very familiar with Claunis, there’s something strangely reassuring about his words. Just like now—one sentence from him is enough to calm me down.
I tried to make sense of his words, but before I could ask questions, the door burst open, and Ferotina and Alpha Samuel stormed in.
Crownis and I turned towards them in unison; the shock and disappointment on their faces were unmatched. My heart collapsed to my stomach. It felt like time was at a standstill, as the alpha Samuel and I locked eyes.
"I told you, alpha. Crownis and this thing that calls herself your grandson's fiancée have been sleeping with each other, they betrayed Justin, and I demand that they be punished severely!" Ferotina accused, her eyes filled with hate, as a small smirk played at the side of her lips.
In that moment, it became obvious. This was all her plan. She drugged me and sent me here to frame Crownis and I.
What am I going to do? How would I explain to the alpha that this was all a setup, especially after he caught Crownis and me red-handed in bed?
I stood in the Alpha's court, drenched in the stench of my own innocence, like a criminal awaiting judgment. The alpha's men and alphas of smaller packs were all in attendance as I awaited my ridicule.
"Alice, what do you have to say in your defense?" Alpha Samuel questioned, his expression void of emotions.
