Chapter 2
Seraphina's POV
I didn't know how to react. How could I explain that I'd just slipped and splattered drink into one of the most dangerous Biker Alphas in school and destroyed their medal?
Yes! There was a medal on that table and it came crashing on the group the moment Gracie did that thing with her leg to me.
Goddess!
Silence fell over the entire great hall like a burial shroud. Hundreds of eyes turned toward me, toward the destruction I'd caused, knowing Knox now dripping with champagne and rage.
Knox rose slowly from his chair, champagne streaming from his dark hair down his face. His eyes which reeked with pure danger locked onto mine.
"You fat fucking clumsy bitch," he said quietly. So quietly that somehow it was worse than screaming.
I knelt among the broken glass, my hands shaking as I tried to clean up the impossible mess. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry, I didn't mean—"
"Get up." His voice cut through my babbling. "Now."
I stood on unsteady legs, champagne soaking through my shoes, glass crunching under my feet. The silence stretched between us, heavy with the weight of pack hierarchy and social order. Knox DeVille could destroy me with a word. Could have me expelled, exiled, erased.
And as I looked into those cold, calculating eyes, I realized that's exactly what he intended to do.
"You want to know what happens to wolves who don't know their place?" His smile was sharp as the broken glass at our feet. "You're about to find out."
The crowd pressed closer, sensing blood in the water. I could feel their excitement and their hunger for my complete destruction. This was entertainment to them, it has always been when it has to do with me.
"Knox, please—" The words scraped raw from my throat.
"Please what?" He stepped closer, his shoes crunching on glass. "Please ruin my designer clothes and face no consequences? Please crush the fucking trophy I won and walk away unscathed?"
Every eye in the hall was on us now. Students had their phones out, recording my humiliation for their pleasure.
I opened my mouth, but nothing came out except tears. My whole body trembled as Knox towered over me, his muscled frame blocking out the fluorescent lights above. He was still wearing his racing gear….tight black jeans ripped at the knees, a leather jacket with "RAZOR" labelled across the back, and motorcycle boots that could crush my skull if he wanted to.
What happened next made my blood freeze. A slow smirk spread across his perfect face as he crouched lower, cocking his head at me like I was some fascinating insect he was about to squash.
"Do you realize what you just did, little Tank?" His voice was soft, intimate almost, like we were alone in his bedroom instead of the crowded hallway.
"I-it wasn't intentional," I whispered, my voice pathetically small. "I'm sorry."
The other three members of the B4 stood up from their seat, seeing it was getting serious, as if they knew what it meant to offend their Razor on the team.
"There's nothing to be sorry about," Knox said, his blue eyes glittering dangerously.
He cupped my cheek, and I shivered at the rough texture of his palm.
‘He will hurt you,’ my wolf whispered. I can feel it. We can't let that happen Sera, give in to me and let's do something.
I didn't want him to hurt me. I wasn't sure I could take it, atleast today..let me be free please.
Knox grabbed one of the shards of glass from the broken helmet. My eyes widened immediately and I shook my head frantically.
"They should just expel her!" someone yelled from the crowd. "That's all she does since she came in here, breaking things like a maniac!"
"Fat cow can't even walk without destroying everything!"
"I didn't break it on purpose," I pleaded, tears streaming down my round cheeks. "I swear."
Knox held the glass blade between his fingers, pressing against it firmly enough that I thought he might cut himself. His smile was all teeth, more like a predator about to feast.
"Bloated whales like you need to be bursted," he said loudly enough for everyone to hear, "..so you won't break the trophies wherever you walk next!"
Raw laughter erupted around us and I sniffed, unable to stop the tears now. He was going to stab me with that glass, and his face….goddess, it was fucking forbidden to have such beauty twisted with so much cruelty.
He cocked his head at Jaxon and Ryder, the other two B4 members who stood behind him like dark shadows. "Take the other pieces. We're going to have some fun guys."
Jaxon, who was also known as Phoenix and my cousin, cross stared down at me with his amber eyes as he collected the glass shards on the floor.
Knox raised his hand, positioning the glass to stab my thigh.
"Knox!" Axel’s familiar voice cut through the crowd which made me flinch.
"Go on," Jaxon said with a bored expression. "It's just Axel…. Some moo cow needs to be taught a lesson."
And before I could react, Knox plunged the glass shard into my thigh. Pain exploded through my leg, and I screamed. Warm blood seeped through my leggings, staining the black fabric darker.
Ryder passed him another blade. "Let's paint the trophy on her instead since she won't let us have it."
Axel pushed through them instead and stood before Knox. "Fucking stop it, Knox!" he seethed, grabbing his wrist before he could stab me again.
Knox glares up at him and stares back at me, his gaze doing this dance or confusion.
"Let her go," Axel growled, his voice dropping to that dangerous Alpha tone that made everyone's wolves want to submit.
"She broke our fucking medal!" Knox shouted, his handsome face contorted with rage.
"I'll pay for it," Axel snapped. "Stop harassing my best friend's sister."
That seemed to work like magic. Knox huffed and stood up, staring into my eyes with such deep disgust that it physically hurt. He cocked his head, spat on the floor beside me, and walked away while the crowd parts like the Red Sea for him.
Ryder and Jaxon followed, but not before Jaxon whispered, "This isn't over, pig."
As the crowd thinned, Cora appeared, wearing her cheerleading uniform like armor. She sighed dramatically. "I can't believe you came to destroy the B4’s medal and seduce one of them. That's the exact reason Axel is defending you right? Isn't it Pathetic?"
I swallowed hard, thanking whatever goddess was listening that Axel had saved me. And he did that boy because he gave two fucks about me but all because of Blake, his best friend whom he's known all his life and all I did was express some strong stupid crush towards him knowing he would never look at me twice. All those broken glass shards would have decorated my body, and they would have gotten away with it. No one messed with the B4 and walked away unscathed.
I ignored the mockery and tried to stand, but my injured leg gave out. I landed back on the cold tiles with an embarrassing sound escaping me, biting back the tears that kept burning my eyes, but I managed to crawl toward the exit. I wouldn't be attending any more classes today. I just needed to go home, treat my wound, and hug my teddy bear…..the only thing in this world that didn't judge me.
But before I could call my driver, a shadow fell over me. My brother stood there, looking extremely angry and furious. His normally handsome face was twisted with rage.
"You're grounded, for not listening to me, for facing the B4" he spat, his designer shoes inches from my bleeding leg. "And you won't be eating for the next two days."
