Chapter 10.

Andrew's Pov.

Few days after Nick came over and told him the news, I have tried to relate with Brittany in a better way maybe he could get their memories back.

I noticed that Brittany has fallen asleep and I stand up and just look at her, watching her sleep. I looked at her face and her expression, she looks tired.

I was saddened again that I was not able to comfort her while she had been facing all these numerous challenges.

I take Brittany's hand gently not to wake her up and sit back down, my soft warm lips against her forehead as I cried myself to sleep over the loss of beauty and promised to make Brittany happy and always be there for her.

Brittany wakes up at noon then looks over to me thinking I was asleep still and notices my hand holding on to hers to which she didn't let go but smiles as she falls asleep feeling all comfortable.

I wake up some hours after noon and look over to where Brittany was, she has gone I thought while staring at the empty chair.

To which Brittany walks in with coffee in her hands and stands in the doorway leaning on the door frame and smiles looking at Andrew staring at the empty chair

"Miss me?" She asks with a smirk,  with hope of rememberance in her eyes.

I look over at the door as I hear her voice.

I noticed the smirk and said while returning the smirk, "No J just started to like it here without you".

Brittany walks into the room to the chair. "Coffee" she asks as she reaches her hand out gesturing for me to take it.

"Sure thanks" I say as I take the coffee. "I'm not a coffee type though" I say as take Soos of the coffee.

Brittany sits down on the chair and says "yeah, you are more of a soda type" I look at her with the question how did you know that written all over my face, but I don't ask it.

Brittany sees the questioning look on my face and sighes knowing that I still don't remember her.

A week goes by and I still do not have my memory back even though I have this nightmare of a girl in a gold dress crying in pain with a burnt face while her killer laughed at her but I couldn't make out the faces so I didn't tell anyone for it not to seem as I'm hallucinating and not responding to treatment.

Brittany comes over frequently as well as his parents, waking up about 2pm because of the Nightmare I had.

I look at the empty room, then sigh with sadness and try to close my eyes so I don't cry.

I tried to go back to sleep but to no avail so i just lay there with my eyes closed.

Third Person's Pov.

The next morning

Brittany gets a call from Mrs Rave during their discussion she says "sorry dear, J think you should say your goodbye to Andrew today, him seeing you reminds him of the death of beauty at its not good for his health".

Brittany is saddened about the thought that Andrew doesn't want to see her again.

Andrew's Pov again.

Brittany slips into the hospital room thinking I was asleep and sets a letter next to my bed muttering goodbye.

As she turns to leave but then stops when she feels something on her arm. She looks to her arm and see's my hand holding onto hers.

Brittany looks at me and says "sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up, I just wanted to leave you a letter, I will take my leave now"

I asked "now why would you leave?", Brittany slightly confused says "well I felt If you would always see me on a daily basis you will be reminded of my sister and I thought I was unwanted".

"Now why would I ever make you feel unwanted..." I say pausing for a second, "Brittany I want us to be friends" i mumble as i kissed her forehead.

The next morning, Mrs Rave walked into the hospital room and spotted them snuggled up together sleeping. She tried to quietly turn on her heels and leave but her presence had woken me up.

I opened one eyes to see what had woken me up and when I saw my mom, I softly whispered not to wake Brittany.

"Mom" Mrs Rave stopped and turned back around her face brightened up when she saw me.

I'm pretty sure my mom decided to come and visit him, just like she did everyday to make sure I was alright and to check up on me. She was kind of sympathetic towards me since my father doesn't always have time to visit me since he is managing the company alone so she can come over to visit me regularly.

I went and sat down in the chair next to the bed Brittany was sleeping on and glanced at her as she was sound asleep.

I smiled watching my mother, "Ive decided to not let my friend go" I said.

Mrs Sky walked in smiling softly as she took in her daughter's sleeping form. "Thank you Andrew, please dont push her away Andrew, after the death of her sister she has been lonely"

I nodded smiling "I know I am trying to make up for the lost time and memory", "Well we are gonna go and leave you both to it" my mom got up and kissed me on the top of my head while Mrs Sky, Brittany's mom hugged me before leaving.

An hour later Brittany woke up so they both decided to have dinner while watching Netflix.

2 days later.

"We look cute in our pictures" I say as Brittany laughs.

Knocking Dr Martha enters the room.

"Mr Andrew" she needs at me before seeing the same regards towards Brittany "Miss Brittany".

"Dr Martha" my mom grabs the neurologist's attention as she enters the room.

" Mr Andrew, I and your mother have had a conversation" Dr Martha turns to my mother quirking her eyebrow.

"Doctor, please call me Andrew" I try to catch her eyes as she says okay. Dr Martha smiles saying "Andrew, you've had a great step to recovering Ive actually just come to discuss your discharge".

" I can leave" I smile softly "like go home?".

"Yes" Dr Martha alternates glancing at everyone.

My eyes brighten slightly at the ideas of going home. Going home will help things be slightly more normal I desperately need some sense of normality.

" I'll be able to start work right" I asked

"What?" My mom and Brittany say also.

"Andrew" Dr Martha says calmly, "I would recommend you rest for a while before going to work"

"In my professional opinion that would be the best course of action" Dr Martha adds in a  serious tone.

The room goes silent as I inhale deeply saying okay
