3. Woman Targeted by Son of Powerful Senator

That morning, Senator Gordon Crawford slammed the dining table in a blazing rage and shouted at his only son, Henry.

"Henry, how can you be called to court today?! It could ruin your image as the next potential senator. We don't need the commotion of negative publicity right now," Gordon said impatiently and angrily.

The handsome young man was unaffected by his father's anger. He seemed to be going through a calm morning without a storm of emotions touching his handsome face. Henry was the strongest candidate to replace his father's senatorial position who had held the prestigious and powerful position for three terms.

It was not because Gordon Crawford was a clean person, but it was because of his strong connections that could keep all his crimes buried underground. Taking lives was a trivial and common thing for Gordon Crawford. But in the eyes of the public, he was a loyal and noble-hearted official.

"The prosecutor who handled your case is known for her spotless reputation. Emily Rose, the only daughter of the legendary prosecutor, Lincoln Carter. Weren't you two close to each other? Why didn't you ask her to dismiss your case, Henry?" Gordon chattered at length to his son who only replied with a smile.

Henry didn't want to put his father even more in a bad mood this morning. He finally spoke up, "Dad, I am close to Emily. But she is as hard as a wall, I know her very well. And ... I like her. She is a suitable partner for me if I run for senator next year. Let her read the lawsuit for me this time. This case is just a minor civil servant bribery case. We can pay the fine later. After answering his father's question, Henry drank his coffee and said goodbye to go to the courtroom for his case this morning.

Arriving in front of Chicago City Hall, dozens of reporters surrounded his car. Flashes of camera lights greedily took pictures of the handsome and famous man. Henry wore stylish sunglasses unaffected by the dazzling light. He did not answer any questions from reporters, his muscular bodyguards opened the way for him to enter the courtroom.

Henry took off his sunglasses and put them in the pocket of his expensive black suit. He sat quietly waiting for the trial in the defendant's chair with his lawyers.

The door to the courtroom opened wide with a loud sound. The judge and the public prosecutor entered the courtroom and sat in their respective places. The atmosphere in the courtroom suddenly became quiet.

The judge's gavel began the morning trial. Henry Crawford's name was called to sit in the defendant's chair in front of the judge. Without further ado, Emily Rose questioned the witness in the case of bribery of high-ranking state officials related to government social security insurance for workers.

"Mr. Albert Jenkins, is it true that you transferred some money to Mr. Henry Crawford's account?" Emily asked with her sharp gaze at the witness.

The man was nervous and rubbed his wet palms. "Yes," he answered softly.

"No more questions, Your Majesty!"

The bribery case already had strong evidence with the addition of the witness's confirmation answer. Without further ado, the verdict was clear.

Emily read the lawsuit, articles, and legal sanctions for Henry Crawford. The judge approved the application and banged his gavel to signal the verdict of the legal case was over.

The trial ended without unnecessary drama. Emily followed the judge out of the courtroom.

Judge Malcom said to Emily, "Em, you are very brave to accept the bribery case of Senator Crawford's son. Gordon Crawford, that man has many connections, you should be careful because you have offended him."

Emily did not budge, she answered Judge Malcom, "Of course, Mr. Malcom. I will be careful." They then dispersed to their respective offices.

After entering her office, Emily took off her prosecutor's clothes. Showing her sexy clothes as usual. She took Mr. Long, an albino Boa snake that she had kept for the past five years. She kept it in an aquarium next to her desk.

The snake was tame to Emily and liked to wrap around Emily's slender waist with its long body and put its head on Emily's shoulder, facing the same direction as Emily, making Emily look like a snake queen. Emily sometimes let Mr. Long stay on her body for hours while doing her job reading the cases that came to her desk.

"Knock knock knock."

"Please come in," Emily answered while contemplating the case file that she would be trying tomorrow.

A neat man wearing sunglasses entered Emily's office. "Em!" he called.

Emily immediately raised her face towards the voice that called her. "Henry!"

Emily immediately stood up with Mr. Long on her body approaching Henry Crawford to hug him. However, the man seemed to have a phobia of snakes and immediately distanced himself from Emily.

Emily laughed softly seeing Henry Crawford's reaction. She put Mr. Long in the aquarium, where the snake usually lived. Then she walked in front of Henry who immediately hugged Emily's body and crushed her lips without asking.

"Uugh ...," Emily sighed, protesting Henry's actions, which made him tighten his embrace on Emily's body.

When the oxygen levels in his brain were low, Henry stopped his kiss. The beautiful woman made him lose control. He had thought about lifting and pressing her body on his office desk. But that action was very risky, he canceled his intention.

The man walked towards the window looking at the street in front of the justice department office. He said, "Why didn't you tell me that the public prosecutor in charge of trying my case today is you, Em?"

Henry then looked directly at Emily's smiling face with cold eyes at him.

"Ohh okay, I was guilty, Sweetie. But everything is over, right? I paid a large fine to the state." said Henry raising both hands in surrender with Emily's determination. He knew very well who Emily was; for her, a verdict of 'guilty' was an act against the law.

He then took Emily into his arms and said, "Do you have time to have dinner with me tonight, Em?"

Emily had not seen Henry for a long time since last winter which felt so warm for them. Henry took her to Switzerland to ski with him. However, they spent more time in the hotel room to wrestle in bed all day.

"Okay. Where are we going to have dinner?" replied Emily trying to please Henry because today she was suing Henry with a fine that would drain his thick pockets.

The man smiled with satisfaction as he answered, "In my penthouse of course. Dress up nicely, honey. My driver will pick you up at 19.00."

Emily bit her lower lip, it seemed she was going to have another hot night with Henry.

The man kissed Emily's lips gently then said goodbye and left Emily's office with elegant steps.
