This is the cruelest Forced Proximity: she is the prison, and she is the key. Milena, the Sunshine forced into hiding, confronts the grim and Grumpy Nikolai. Their dialogue is a knife fight, every word piercing the assassin’s defenses. "You act like you want to die, Volkov," Milena challenges him one night, as the Scorpio stars burn Nikolai’s scar, "but you fight like you want to live forever." During their escape, the core Mystery is revealed: the missing Stars of Aetheria, believed stolen, have actually fled. They seek sanctuary from a threat far older than the Solaria monarchy. Milena reveals her greatest secret: she can hear the terrified voices of the Runaway Stars. Their trail leads them through the Gemini Constellation, a testing labyrinth that forces trust. There, Nikolai discovers his curse is tied to an ancient, betrayed bloodline, making him a descendant of the cursed Stars. Meanwhile, Milena uncovers the real enemy: the Serpent’s Cult, a shadowy organization manipulating the Solaria Kingdom from within, even corrupting her own father. Arc 4–6: The Slow Burn and the Sacrifice Their epic journey across Aetheria and cosmic dimensions becomes the stage for a forbidden Romantasy. Their Enemies-to-Lovers dynamic evolves from physical necessity to emotional need. After a painful Romantic sacrifice where they separate for a spy mission, they reunite in the Leo Constellation. Amidst luxury and intrigue, their love is tested by jealousy, trust, and Nikolai’s hidden trauma. Nikolai, who once cared only for survival, begins to question everything he does for Milena. The Mystery peaks in Arc 6. Together, they lead a counterattack on Solaria to expose the Cult’s leader. But victory comes at a heartbreaking cost. Milena's father dies, the true traitor escapes, and most crucially, Nikolai is forced to unleash the full power of his Astrological Curse, making him the new King... a king hated and feared by his people. Arc 7–10: The Crown of Thorns and the Cosmic War The latter half of the series becomes a fight against destiny itself. Nikolai, the former assassin, sits on the throne. He quickly becomes a cruel Tyrant fueled by insecurity and the fear of losing Milena. Milena, the Queen, must rise as the moral leader who challenges Nikolai's harsh decrees. Their relationship reaches a breaking point (The Moral Gray vs. Moral White). Nikolai abandons the throne to seek the prophesied Artifact that can cure his curse, but the prophecy also warns: The Artifact will save the world, but it will kill Milena. The final Mystery reveals the true identity of the Cult’s leader (Milena’s grandmother, an ancient Titan). The final cosmic war erupts across the remaining Constellations. Nikolai, having undergone destruction and redemption, finally makes the most heroic choice: he rejects destiny and the Artifact. He chooses to spend his last moments with Milena. However, Milena, in an ultimate Romantic sacrifice (Arc 9), uses her hidden star essence to stabilize Nikolai’s curse. The 2,000-chapter climax ends not in simple victory, but in Philosophical Redemption. Nikolai uses his cosmic power to create a Constellation of Peace, ending the war and his curse, but he is bound as the Cosmic Watchman, forever separated from his mortal form. Milena (through reincarnation or star essence) finds him again—a Second Chance Romance that transcends dimensions and death. This is the story of a Curse healed only by Love, and two souls who must break fate to be together.
